🧠✨ In October, we were delighted to welcome Sue Keogh from the Alzheimer’s Society to Pax Hill Care Home for an inspiring Dementia Friends talk.

The session helped deepen our understanding of dementia and reminded us how small acts of kindness can make a big difference to those living with the condition. 💙

A huge thank you to Sue for sharing her knowledge — and to everyone who joined us for a wonderful afternoon of tea, cakes, and conversation! ☕🍰💐

Our Diwali celebrations have been enjoyed by both residents and staff, with decorations lighting up Pax Hill and delicious sweets and traditional snacks served.

On Wednesday 29th October at 2pm we will be holding a Stroke awareness talk. Every year in the UK over 100,000 strokes occur, our Stroke awareness talk will cover signs and symptoms of a Stroke, the FAST test and how to support Stoke survivors. The talk is free and refreshments will be served after the talk. Please call Angela to book a place. 01420 525882

Residents made some beautiful Harvest Bread to add to our Harvest Festival. The service and Communion was led by Fran, the Anna Chaplain. We are grateful for the support of our local Benefice of Bentley, Binstead and Froyle. Thank you for the time you give, with your services and individual worship with our residents.

On Monday 13th October we will be holding a Dementia Friends session at 2pm. The session is free and open to anyone that would like to come along and find out more about the signs and symptoms of dementia and understand more about memory loss. The final count is in and we raised an amazing £368.51 at our Macmillan afternoon tea event! Thank you to everyone that came along and made the afternoon so enjoyable and successful. 🍂🍁
