The smell of gingerbread filled the house this afternoon as we made gingerbread hearts. Measuring mixing and cutting we made some lovely biscuits together. We were told they tasted really nice too.

This morning we had our monthly visit from Coll Cox with her therapy dog Skyla. We made our way around the home visiting all who wanted to see her. We love this visit it brings joy and happiness to all.

In crafts today we decided to make some paper hats for new year's eve. Elaine Palmer and Kay made some plain paper hats and decorated them.

Meanwhile downstairs Trev Clarke used the old fashioned method of newspaper to make his hats. Following on from this he carried on by making some paper boats which we managed to make.

This made some great conversations and Mike said he remembers making a paper boat and putting it on the river when he was about 7 years old. Great memories.

Today Carri James from Art Obsession was back in the home with a painting class but this time for our residents. Building up the layers of paint wearing beret and neck scarves we made a lovely festive scene.

Carrie will also be doing a public mother's day painting class later in the year on 15th March so make sure you save the date.

Hadleigh Nursing Home held a free Christmas Party for lonely people in the community after the Christmas Present Trust charity closed.

Santa has come early to the Hadleigh Nursing Home to deliver some special gifts to our residents. With the help of Elf Tracey Brown they worked their way around the home delivering Christmas joy to all.

Lots of residents couldn't wait to get a picture with Santa and his elf. Lots of thanks and praise were had.

We also had some extra gifts which were donated by Jade Louise Davey whose son and daughter Harry & Hazel have collected for the elderly who have no visitors. Thank you SO much for these extra gifts it means a lot to them.
