A early valentine's treat today as Catchpole Court Nursing Home came to join us for a cream tea, biscuit decorating, singing, lunch and singer John.

Trev Clarke, Hayley and Michelle Szmyrgala Bailey decorated our lounge area with balloon arch and decorations all over. We presented valentine's crackers we had made as we decorated heart shaped biscuits.

We enjoyed a lovely cream tea and also done some singing too. A lovely lunch was put on followed by singing from John.

What a lovely day we had. Thanks Ruth from catchpole for visiting us.

Residents were good sports this morning, having a go at a fun sensory quiz! 🤗
Some residents did some physio using the objects to build hand strength 💪🏻

In crafts this morning Trev Clarke was busy getting ready for valentine's day by making valentine's crackers. Using a toilet roll for the center then filling with brackets and love heart sweets. Some even had some paper in so when it was pulled it would go over over them.

Elaine Palmer was busy making bracelets with her group. Using beats and charms our residents really enjoy this.

Later on it was time for games, after a few game choices, jumbo snakes and ladders was chosen. Fun and games all day.

Valentines is in the air as we created table centrepieces with our residents. 💓

Residents created some beautiful displays to brighten up the Dining Room.
The group had a quiz while they worked all about Victorian ‘flower language’ and birth flowers and then moved on to discusses their favourite blooms 🌸🤗

Morning manicures for Ruth, Joy, Janet and jean. Choosing their own colours the ladies really enjoyed the pampering. Later on we had a lovely game of Scrabble on one table and crafts on another.

In crafts we were made birthday and valentine's cards too. Using lots of craft materials it's great to make bespoke designs.

A very good morning from Michelle Szmyrgala Bailey and Trev Clarke at St Mary's Church Hadleigh. Today is the monthly market where local stalls come together in the church to meet up and have some refreshments and a catch up.

We are here promoting the home and advertising our Easter fete which is on the 3rd April 11am-3pm. We have a free raffle taking place today to win a hyacinth 🪻 and lots of information and freebies too.

We are here till midday today so pop down and say hello (the heaters are on)

So what do you make when you have leftover bread? Trev Clarke decided to make a bread pudding. Joy and Janet enjoyed cutting off the crusts from two loaves of bread (which the birds had) We then ripped the bread up and added sugar, spices, eggs, milk and lots of dried fruit and mashed it all together. We all had a stir and smelt the mixture together.

Everyone loved the mixing and smelling of the mixture, once in the oven you could smell it throughout the home. We look forward to trying it later on our tea trolley.
