We were making more decorations today. Kay is our craft lady, she loves making things from homemade cards to decorations.

In the afternoon it was word games and anagrams. Our residents love a good word game and often watch Lingo on TV in the afternoon. It's good for the mind.

This is Marie, she's a wonderful singer. While watching snow white earlier she was singing but of course as soon as I got the camera out she stopped. I managed to get her to sing a bit at the end of the film for us. What a voice.. Kingsley Healthcare Group

A morning of pampering today with hand massages, nails cleaned, trimmed manicured and polished.

In the afternoon it was cinema time again, this week the residents chose Snow white and the seven dwarfs. We brought a drinks trolley round with some popcorn 🍿 and pretzels 🥨 too.

Bit of a sensory session this morning, smelling tasting and touching different things including smelling, orange and mint essence, garlic, nutmeg and curry powder. Feeling an orange without seeing it to guess what it was.

The blind taste test was a cornflake, starting as crispy and crunchy then melting in the mouth. Then out to the garden to watch and hear and smell the garden. Ruth even spotted some Doves.

We have so many grapes growing we have decided to try make some wine and some jam.

Back inside it was puzzle time and also bingo. Congratulations to Valmai for winning a teddy bear and joy won a stationary set.

The three C's today, Cooking, crafts and Christmas 🎁⛄. Yes we have started making some decorations today. Activities Elaine Palmer and Trev Clarke starting with some colourful bunting for the home. Josie chose to do some colouring of Santa.

Meanwhile the friends Kay and Jessie were having their weekly Scrabble tournament followed by making chains too.

After lunch it was cooking, the residents love choosing something to make and getting involved. Today's choice was cheese straws. We used whole grain mustard in them which really added flavour to them.

Yoga, colouring and construction was all on today. We had a morning of remembrance colouring and word searches this morning before we observed the 2 minutes silents at 11am. After this it was time for yoga lots of stretches and movement which is great for everyone.

This afternoon was quiz time and a bit of construction time with John. John loves this physics and using cogs we kind of made a fairground ride. We spoke about getting a few Lego people to put on it but it would be too fast for them. Kingsley Healthcare Group

Carrying on with our poppy crafts today colouring and painting poppy's for our display. Jayne Whitehead drew a lovely picture which the residents copied.

As we didn't get the chance to toast marshmallows on bonfire night Activities Trev Clarke with resident John fired up the BBQ and toasted some and shared around the home.
What a lovely treat of crispy sugar and gooey marshmallow yummy 🤤
