One of our first residents, Tom, playing the piano in Jimmy's Bar. Lovely to hear music fill our home! 🎵🎶

Here are some of the benefits of music for people living with Dementia:
🎸 Music activates certain regions in the brain which are involved in movement, planning, attention, learning and memory.
🎼 Music can release dopamine in the brain which lessens anxiety and improves mood.

✨ Our amazing destination rooms! ✨

We have put a lot of thought into providing beautiful, yet practical, destination rooms. We have created:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family room
💅 Wellbeing room
🎨 Activity rooms
🍻 Jimmy's Bar
☕ Fleetwood Café
🐠 A welcoming reception area with feature aquarium.

We have also set up an intergenerational room so that whole families can come together over a coffee and spend time with their loved ones with play areas for young children.

Our doors are open, we have been registered with CQC and we are so excited to start our vibrant community with new residents moving in soon! It's all come together at Fleetwood Heights.

Officially open! 🥳

Thank you to everyone who attended our open evening last night - a joyful evening! We are so proud of the home we have created it was lovely to open our doors to the local community.

A well planned event which was a credit to the hard working team and a big thank you to the local businesses who came to support us. We had taster sessions of Reiki and Access bars treatments from Greetland Wellness Hub. We also had fabulous rock n' roll entertainment 🎸 And the honor of cutting the ribbon was given to outstanding army veterans and members of Halifax RAF association.

Great to meet everyone and our doors are always open, now to welcome in our first residents 💙💛
