Did you spot it? That’s right- there is no difference…😬
Whether I have 2 booked, 10 or 20 the set up involved is the same. A lot of thought and effort, a splash of creativity and a touch of magic goes into each play date and I like to think thats what makes HGP special.
So grateful for those last minute bookings today that kept me busier than I had anticipated. Though I will happily run regardless it really does make all the hard work worthwhile when I get that notification of another booking and seeing more littles exploring and enjoying what the garden has to offer is what it’s all about about! 🥰

I spoke to a few mums during my Halloween Specials and was surprised to hear that they had either taken leave from work or taken their littles out of childcare in order to come to the garden. 🫶 Not only did this mum do just that, she also travelled from Birmingham in order to bring her son here. I think it’s truly wonderful that they enjoy my play dates so much that she was willing to drive that bit further to make the journey over, but also that she sees the value in spending quality time making memories with her little… I’m so glad I get to provide the perfect setting, creating the magic space for memories to be made 😍
Time is precious, here’s your sign to book the play date and make those memories- they are only little once! 🥹

…that I’m still here, still covered in slime, mud, and fake cobwebs — and somehow busier than ever! 👻✨

What started as a few pumpkins and a lot of imagination has grown each year with so many new Hanley Garden Players enjoying some beautiful HGP spooky fun! 🧡
Such a busy week with pumpkin play dates and our Halloween specials yesterday with my brilliant forest school friend Fran tending to the fire and helping with the s’more making! Thank you so much for all your bookings and for continuing to support me and my little business. I hope you all had fun!

Here’s to more pumpkins, petals and potions play next year, I’m taking the next week to recover! 🎃🍂

Who’s coming to play?!

Did you know that play dough is simple to make and surprisingly cheap! If you’re buying in and you’ve never tried making it before you are missing a trick!…
There are just 5 ingredients, there’s no cooking involved and it literally takes minutes.
Plain flour (2 cups of)
Table salt (1 cup of)
Veg Oil (2 tbsps of)
Cream of tartar (4 tbsp of)
Boiling water (2 cups of)

(Optional food colouring)

B**g first 4 ingredients in a bowl (with food colouring if using), add boiling water and mix until it forms a dough. That’s it, it’s ready to play and will keep for months if stored in a sealed container!

HGP Halloween vibes! Mud kitchen potions for the win today! It’s been a brillant busy busy sold out week of all things Halloween play and in the garden.

With Halloween at HGP pretty much fully booked up here’s the lowdown of what’s coming next at HGP!
I continue to run sessions up until to Christmas after which I close for a short period to allow the garden to rest and reset for the coming year.
I am an all weather and all seasons outdoor playgroup and believe that getting outside and exploring all year round is so beneficial to your little ones! If you want better sleepers, less winter germs and healthy children (physically and mentally) don’t hunker down with the season change, get out and let your littles enjoy some outdoor play time at HGP- you’ll never regret booking on and getting your morning dose of fresh air in the garden whilst your little enjoys their play!
November is such a beautiful month to explore as the shift to winter begins, so wrap up accordingly and join us in the garden for some fireworks and winter play!
