The brilliant Madeleine Mott is joining the studio to offer her six week short course in Gentle Hatha Yoga.

Madeleine has been teaching yoga for 9 years and is trained in Hatha and yoga for menopause and creates a warm, welcoming environment in her classes.

During this six week course, you will be introduced to well known yoga postures (asanas) and guided through a gentle physical practice.

New postures will be added each week and each session includes breathwork (pranayama) and ends with a guided meditation.

This course will help you to improve balance and strength, challenge your functional fitness and your own range of movement – all in a supportive, inclusive environment.

This short course is perfect for beginners, as well as those who have practised in the past, and who would like to pick up their yoga practice again.

The only requirement is that you must be able to get up and down from the floor unaided.

Course runs from Thursday 8th January 11.30-12.45 for six weeks at Yoga Hart Garden Studio, Harborne. Maximum 8 participants. Booking is via the link in bio.

Any questions please contact Abi or Madeleine.
Hope to see you there!

We hosted our fourth pre / post-natal mini-retreat morning yesterday and it is the BEST 3 hours to be part of!

Small, friendly, warm groups of women join together for a pre / post natal strength workout, a yoga flow with yoga Nidra and, of course, a bunch a delicious nourishing nibbles and drinks to end.

These mornings are filled with real chat & connection and lots of laughter!

We’re back for our next retreats on 10th Jan & 8th March. The perfect Christmas gift, gift vouchers are available.

Hope to see you there. Any questions just message Abi or Sarah xx

Sound baths have arrived at Yoga Hart!

I’m very excited to have the incredibly talented Manoj joining us to guide *two* sound baths to see out 2025.

If you’ve not experienced Manoj’s sound baths before, they are not to be missed!

Manoj is a yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, sound practitioner and ayurvedic therapist based in Birmingham. After growing up for most of his life surrounded by yoga, mantra and sound, Manoj felt compelled to carry on, share and dedicate his life to the spreading of the knowledge of his ancestors.

Over the last 7 years, he has regularly shared classes, workshops, trainings and sound experiences across the country at corporates, festivals and studios, with the ethos of his work based around inclusion and accessibility.

His sound baths involve multiple instruments such as crystal bowls, gongs and singing bowls which together provide a space for relaxation, rest and surrender.

On 21st November 7-8pm, we mark the new moon. This phase builds strength and intensity and provides us with a perfect time to set clear intentions, clear goals and identify projects for the next weeks ahead.

On 12th December 7-8pm, join Manoj for a festive celebration through the medium of sound. Give yourself the gift of restoration, peace and rejuvenation to reflect upon the year, and look forward to 2026.

Every sound experience is unique and each person’s experience will be varied, as sound is a mode of meditation through the mind becoming quiet, you may find that this is a welcome opportunity for inspirations, new ideas or breakthroughs to come to you in this session. The sounds will help the brain, the delta and theta brain wave states reach a deep state of relaxation.

Tea and homemade cake available.

For more details and to book visit the Yoga Hart website - link in bio.

There are only 8 spaces at each of these events.

Any questions please message Abi or Manoj.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you 💫

Here’s what you can expect:

In pregnancy yoga we flow, we build strength, we breathe, we relax, we reenergise, we focus - just as we might in any other style of yoga.

But there are many benefits to derive from a pregnancy-specific practice.

Here are my favourites:
🟠 peace of mind that the physical practice is safe for pregnancy
🟡 practice postures that support your body to carry and deliver your baby healthily
🟢 learn the immense power of the breath for relaxation and labour
🔵 experience the value, physically and mentally, of resting
🟣 learn to let go - this is a biggie as it can be hard to do but such good preparation for Motherhood - let go of self-judgement / your pre-pregnancy practice / unrealistic expectations / negative thoughts / comparisons...
⚫️ learn to quiet / focus the mind
🔴 share your experience with other pregnant women, learn from and support each other

Taught be me, Abi, 350hr RYT & 6 years of teaching experience specialising in pregnancy and postpartum and Mum of two boys.

Drop-ins and class passes (5 + 10) available.

DM to ask questions or visit website (link in bio) to book 😊

P O S T N A T A L Y O G A

Wednesdays 18:15

This class is 60 minutes, just for Mums, to focus on you.

This is a great compliment to our Mum & Baby classes or a good progression for when you can no longer attend classes with baby.

❣️Sequences to build strength, particularly in those areas that have become weaker during pregnancy
❣️Postures to release discomfort from the repetitive movements of ‘mum life’ (e.g. bending, lifting, sitting with poor posture for feeding…)
❣️Dedicated time, just for you, to breathe, move + relax
❣️Opportunity to meet other local Mums
❣️Relaxation, breath work and meditation to quiet the mind and channel positive thoughts and energy

This class is suitable for women wanting to rebuild strength and flexibility from 12 weeks to 12 months postpartum (and way beyond).

Drop-ins and class passes available.

Hope to see you there,
Abi

Tap out of the frenzy of the festive season on the shortest day of the year with two hours to clear your mind, rest and restore ahead of the big day!

We’ll begin with a candlelit restorative yoga practice to help you wind down before an extended yoga Nidra practice (minimum 45 minutes for each practice).

Yoga Nidra means ‘sleep yoga’ and is sometimes referred to as non-sleep deep rest (NSDR). It allows the body to take deep rest while the mind is guided, leaving you feeling rejuvenated & restored.

We’ll end with a glass of bubbles and a mince pie to toast the season! (Non-alcoholic alternatives will be available).

There is a larger capacity for this event so please feel free to spread the word and bring friends along. Local cosy Harborne venue TBC.

Monday 22nd December 5.30-7.30pm £30
