HS Postcode Social Activity Dates.

Clisham Summit Social. 9th May. £10 each. Over 18’s only.
A relaxed hike to the top of the Clisham. Hiking boots and waterproofs required.

Taransay Kayak Trip. 27th June. £20 each. Over 18’s only.
Cross to Taransay from Horgabost. See the seals and explore the beaches. Sit on top or closed cockpit kayaks.

Both trips are weather dependent.

These activities are designed for individuals and couples (not for groups). We hope to boost social connectivity and promote healthy and active lifestyles.

Throughout 2026 we will be trialing a series of monthly activities for adults.

We are hoping to boost wellbeing and encourage people to take up outdoor sports as a hobby. We also know that if adults are enthusiastic about the outdoors, the kids will be too!

Activities:
-Rock Climbing
-Clisham Summit Hikes
-Kayaking
-Mountain Biking
-Coasteering
-Kayak fishing followed by beach cooking.

There will also be an end of season wild camp.

Sessions will be offered at a discounted rate to islanders.

During 2025 we worked with more young people than tourists. We are super happy about that. Our priority will always be the young people of the Western Isles and wider areas.

The tourist trade does give us much needed income, to keep the centre going.

During the 2026 season, we will be offering tourist whale watching trips and island tours and crossings. We are hoping to give visitors/tourists a once in a lifetime experience. These tours will be around four hours, and will include a picnic on a remote beach.

We can also offer expeditions to places like the Shiants.

All trips will need to be booked in advance.

Locals, please remember you get a 30% discount.
