As much as it is a frustrating one, the ultimate answer is that âit dependsââŠhowever that doesnât really help so Iâll run through some guidelines and make it as specific as I can. đŻ
In essence, if youâve having a good source/piece of protein in every meal đ, and some protein in any snacks throughout the day đ§- youâre probably in a good place and getting enough. â
There are so many parts to that statement that canât all be explained in one post, so thereâll be more to come on this to help guide you on what are good protein sources, suggested snacks, breakfast ideas, why protein helps and any watch outs too.
You may see fancy numbers that calculate how much to have based on your weight, but if that calculation says you should eat 140g of protein in a day and youâre currently eating 40g, with the best will in the world you arenât going to jump to that overnight (if ever!). So just getting in a bit more than you currently do will hugely help. âïž
