As much as it is a frustrating one, the ultimate answer is that ‘it depends’
however that doesn’t really help so I’ll run through some guidelines and make it as specific as I can. 🎯

In essence, if you’ve having a good source/piece of protein in every meal 🍗, and some protein in any snacks throughout the day 🧀- you’re probably in a good place and getting enough. ✅

There are so many parts to that statement that can’t all be explained in one post, so there’ll be more to come on this to help guide you on what are good protein sources, suggested snacks, breakfast ideas, why protein helps and any watch outs too.

You may see fancy numbers that calculate how much to have based on your weight, but if that calculation says you should eat 140g of protein in a day and you’re currently eating 40g, with the best will in the world you aren’t going to jump to that overnight (if ever!). So just getting in a bit more than you currently do will hugely help. ↗

🚹 All Bets Are Off, It’s The Weekend! 🚹

As it’s Friday, just a short reminder that if you’ve got goals you want to achieve (in health and fitness) then the weekends count just as much as the weekdays. 🗓

Yes you’ll have events, birthdays, weddings etc - that’s fine, they are allowed, heck even encouraged đŸ‘đŸ»

But if it’s every weekend without fail, you’re going to be at best slowing your speed of progress, or at worst actually setting you back. 📉

You can have a social life and hit your goals, just be an adult about it not like you’re a contestant on supermarket sweep 🛒

REFLECTION đŸ€”

I spent Friday at the OC live event, meeting all the other coaches and learning from the main man

So much food for thought. Great to be in a room with such energy and drive to be better.

My head has been spinning for the last two days with all the things taken away from the day. So much to go at đŸ€Ż

Also thanks to for behind the scenes magic making it happen, and and for class, thought provoking talks đŸ‘ŒđŸ»

Time to plan, then execute, and deliver the best service going 🚀📈

This is part of a chat with a new client this week - and it has made my week! let’s call them Bob, and read on for his story.

Bob came wanting to get stronger having trained in the gym before, but more importantly to become pain free day to day due to some long term health limitations and sitting at a desk 5 days a week. Relocating and having two children, along with running his own business contributed to his own health and fitness taking a back seat in the last 5 years.

3 weeks in and Bob is smashing it - but most importantly, especially for me as his coach, is that we are making real impact on his day to day feeling. Don’t get me wrong, we are getting stronger too but we are building him some super strong foundations to build upon by getting him stronger in more lengthened (think ‘more flexible’) positions.

It’s a double win with both the short term pain reduction, and long term foundations for getting stronger in the gym!

Got any questions? Let me know in the comments đŸ‘‡đŸ»
