Reconnecting Brain & Body 🧠

Your spine is more than bones - it’s part of your nervous system. Every time you move, sensors in your spine send messages to your brain about where you are in space 🌀

When joints stop moving well, those messages become unclear. The result? Muscle tension, poor control, inflammation, and pain⚡️

A chiropractic adjustment restores motion and balance - helping your brain and body communicate clearly again. This supports allostasis - your body’s ability to adapt and maintain stability through change 🌿

✨ Better movement → calmer nervous system → improved healing and performance. Because movement is medicine 💪

🦴 World Osteoporosis Awareness Day – October 20th 🧡

Your bones are living tissue — constantly breaking down and rebuilding 💪🏽

But when that balance is lost, bones become weaker and more fragile 🤕

Osteoporosis affects over 3 million people in the UK - often silently until a fracture or sudden back pain occurs 💥

Here’s the good news 👉 it’s never too early (or too late) to protect your bone health:

✨ Move daily – even light walks help
💪 Try gentle resistance exercise
🌞 Get healthy sun exposure for Vitamin D
🥦 Eat calcium-rich foods
🚭 Avoid smoking and limit caffeine

Strong bones = A Strong Future 🧠💪🏽

Keeping my old friend Andrew well adjusted and on top form! 🙌🏽

Andrew and his team renovated the clinic for us to a high standard when we purchased the building so it’s only fair to help him look after his body in return 😊💥

Today is World Mental Health Day 🧠

A powerful reminder that caring for your mental health starts with caring for your whole body. When your spine moves freely, your mind can breathe again 🌿

In the UK, 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in any given year - and movement plays a big role in how we feel, think, and cope 💚

Let’s keep talking, moving, and supporting each other - body and mind 🌱

💥 My back just went!💥

I hear this all the time in practice - but here’s the thing, it usually didn’t just happen in that moment.

Most of the time, it’s been building up for weeks, months, even years.

Things like:
🔸 Sitting too much
🔸 Not moving or strengthening enough
🔸 Previous fatigue in the tissues
🔸 Doing too much too soon

That one thing you did such as reaching, bending, lifting, was just the final straw that broke the camels back 🐪

The good news is you can build a stronger, more resilient back

🚶🏽Move regularly
🏋🏽‍♀️ Get strong
👐🏽 Get Adjusted - chiropractic can help get things moving and keep them moving

Your back isn’t broken - it just needs the right input 🙌🏽

A well needed break in Egypt has come to an end although Lewis almost had a heart attack on a Camel! 🤣

💡 Struggling with back pain? Here’s what you need to know👇🏽

Pain is an alarm, not always a sign of damage – it’s your body asking for attention, not necessarily telling you something is “broken” 🚨

Your brain controls the pain dial – it can turn pain up 🔊 or down 🔉 depending on stress, movement, and mindset 🧠

Movement is medicine – natural movements actually switch pain off and help your spine stay healthy🚶‍♂️

Strength is your best friend – exercise and good posture make your back more resilient 🏋️‍♀️

Your back is strong – it’s built to bend, lift, twist, and recover 💪

✨ The key? Take action. Waiting for pain to disappear before you move can actually slow healing. Start with gentle, safe movement and build from there – your future self will thank you 🙌
