🌈 Things to do this Half Term 🌈
It’s February half term, everywhere is busy, the weather still isn’t great AND your favourite The Mummas Village classes aren’t running this week!
WHAT are you going to do to fill your days and entertain your tiny human?!
Fear not! We may not be seeing you in class, but The Mummas Village has got your back with some of our favourite, tried and tested activities to get everyone outside, burn off some energy and fill your February Half Term days with fun!
Let’s Go!
❤️ Puddle Jumping - let’s embrace the weather, get the waterproofs on and splash away!
🧡 Making a homemade birdfeeder - there are some lovely, simple ideas online for birdfeeders that can easily be done by little hands with items you’ll have at home. Plus you’ll have more birds visiting your garden so watching them can be another way to entertain little ones!
💛 Planting Spring bulbs - the supermarkets and garden centres are full of prepotted bulbs that can easily be taken apart and repotted and placed around the house. Toddlers will LOVE the responsibility of watering them too!
💚 Feeding the ducks - a perfect one to encourage reluctant legs to walk, take a bag of peas or some special duck food, and take them for a wander to see how many ducks they can find to feed.
🩵 Bug Hunting - take a magnifying glass and print off a Minibeast guide and head out into the garden, into the woods or to the park and see what minibeasts you can find.
💜 Going on an adventure - everything can be an adventure if you make it so! Wrap up, take some snacks and head to the woods. Who will you find there? What will you see?
🩷 What’s in the box? - give your little one an empty box and encourage them to find some treasures in the garden or on a walk. What will they find?!
This is a post you’ll want to refer back to, so make sure to SAVE it and let us know what fun you get up to this week.
