π Happy New Year π
Today's Mindful Monday is about the importance of making time to rest and recharge this January.
π« As mum's, December can be overwhelming and exhausting!
We plan, organise, prepare, buy gifts, and do our best to make everything magical.
π«Then January arrives with society's expectation to make resolutions and become a 'Better You' at at time when our energy levels are low and days are cold and dark.
π« I personally have never bought into new year resolutions, I think any day you can choose to make a positive change or a first step towards something you want.
π« But January (in my view) is a time to slow down and recharge our batteries, to learn from nature that we need to rest, WITHOUT FEELING GUILTY!
π« Have early nights, say NO to things you haven't the energy for, eat nourishing food, wrap up warm, light candles. Take a moment to sit with a warm drink and be still.
π« Model to our children the importance of taking care of ourselves and making time to rest.
