The Goodness Collective is back on Monday 🎉
The topic is Making Changes and we will kick off with a ‘wheel of life’ exercise, followed by some self-reflection prompts and finishing with some gentle intention or goal setting.

As we approach the last 2 months of the year, this feels like the perfect time to pause and take stock. Before the festive mayhem, before the New Year’s resolutions. A moment to reconnect with yourself, your life, your values, your hopes, your dreams.

As always, the Goodness Collective is free and there is no need to book. Just bring along something to write on/with if you think you’d like to make notes ❤️

Do get in touch if you have any questions!
Hope to see you there xx

G R A T I T U D E /G O O D N E S S C O L L E C T I V E

The Goodness Collective is back on Monday and the topic is Gratitude ❤️.
(Don’t worry - This isn’t the kind of gratitude that shames you for feeling bad).

We will be talking about the deep, genuine, intentional kind of gratitude that you can weave into your day to provide comfort and strength.

We will be from 1030-midday on Monday 22nd September (the day of the autumn equinox in fact!)

I realised that it’s been a while since we’ve had a creative session and so I’ll bring along some materials for collaging too.
This is about soulful, wholehearted self discovery and sometimes pictures speak louder than words ❤️

As always, the session is free and there is no need to book. You might like to bring something to write on/with and, if you have a many specific collaging materials you’d like to use, bring those too!

Grateful for YOU. See you there ❤️

For me, September has always felt like a month of beginnings and endings.
The summer is in its final throws, warm and sunny days mixed with cooler nights and darker evenings. It’s the start of a new term, a new school year, or a new chapter.
My first marriage ended in September (unbelievably, that was 23 years ago now, and in some ways that version of me died with that ending too).
Whilst it’s lovely to think about birth and new life, and beginnings, it’s so important to think about endings and dying too. Writing this reminded me of a great podcast I listened to with that was all about how thinking about our own deaths can hugely improve and enrich our lives.
I’m rambling now and this topic feels like one to come back to as there is so much to say!
I’ll wrap this up by saying it feels timely to share another of the eight wonders of life that act as a gateway to feelings of awe:
L I F E & D E A T H
Birth. Grief. Loss. Becoming. These moments shake our hearts open. They mark time.
In life and in death, we can experience awe. The awe of love, of impermanence, of what matters most.

Awe often lives in the details. The light shining through a stained-glass window, a gem stone cut just so, a pattern in pottery, or a brushstroke in a painting.
Visual design is - according to Dacher Keltner - one of the eight wonders of life. It’s another gateway to feeling awe.
I’ve added a few photos of some of the awe-inspiring visual design I’ve seen in the last year or so. What would you add?

N A T U R E

The rustle of leaves

The vast expanse of sky

The quiet majesty of a tree older than I’ll ever be

The wild weather

The tranquility of a frosty morning

Nature is probably one of our most ancient sources of awe, and it doesn’t require a mountain or a sunset. Just attention.

Step outside. Look up. Awe lives here.

Collective Effervescence
This fizzy phrase refers to the awe that arises when we’re part of something bigger than ourselves.
The feeling of ‘we’ instead of ‘me’.

Scroll through some of my fizzy moments and let me know in the comments where you experience

The Goodness Collective is back!
Monday 11th August (Awegust)
1030-midday

We will be learning about awe - why it matters and where we can find it in daily life. I have prepared some self-reflection prompts and there will be the usual chatter and collective effervescence that comes as standard with the Goodness Collective 💞

Come and connect with others, feel part of something bigger, and share an awe-full morning.

As always, the session is free and there is no need to book. You might like to bring something to write on/with.

Reach out if you have any questions! xx

Putting 'moral beauty' into words feels tricky so here are 3 quotes that I think bring the idea to life perfectly.
Kindness, courage, a dazzling light within.

Continuing with Awegust, next we are diving into another wonder of life, Collective Effervescence - and The Goodness Collective is a great place to experience this first-hand!

The first of 8 as inspired by Dacher Keltner’s work on

Moral beauty is about the best of humanity - kindness, courage, compassion, selflessness, generosity.
In my work as a I am extraordinarily privileged and moral beauty is something I witness everyday in my clients. I see people overcoming adversity, having difficult conversations, stepping outside of their comfort zones, being brave, making changes and hard choices. I see people at their most vulnerable and I see the courage and wholeheartedness in their vulnerability.

I am lucky enough to be surrounded with morally beautiful folk and it takes my breath away. They inspire me to be better, and to do better.

I would love to write a list of all of the people in my mind as I’m writing this but it would be a LONG list so I hope you read this and recognise it’s you I’m talking about here ❤️

Who shows you moral beauty? Where do you see it?
Tag someone who needs to hear that you see their beauty ❤️

Next time we will be talking about another of the 8 wonders of life : Collective Effervescence

A W E
You know those moments that stop you in your tracks? When the light hits the trees just so, or a piece of music moves something in you you didn’t know needed moving? That’s awe. And according to psychologist Dacher Keltner, these small but powerful experiences are more than just nice—they’re essential for our well-being.
Awe isn’t just reserved for the big, breathtaking moments (though those count too). Keltner’s research shows that awe is deeply woven into our emotional lives—and it has a quiet, transformative power that we often overlook.

Awe reminds us we’re part of something bigger.
When we feel awe, our sense of self softens. We shift from 'me' to 'we'. That feeling of standing beneath a vast sky or witnessing someone’s kindness? It expands us. It brings perspective. It connects us. Keltner calls this the “small self”—the self that can make space for wonder, humility, and connection.

Next we'll be looking at one of the 8 wonders of life, according to Dacha Keltner - Moral Beauty

I'd love to hear how you define or experience awe - drop a comment below 💗
