Good luck to SN Tobi who leaves De Cham on Sunday for a new job at Withenshaw in Manchester. She will be sorely missed by the team and it's farewell from me as I head in to retirement. I loved working with you all. Thank you for the flowers, gifts and food. Xx

The De Cham Team
Plagued by Covid 19
Exhausted and shattered
Physical and mental health so battered
Working all day and through the night
They continue to care and endure the fight
With grit and such grace despite the horrors they face
Never ending patients flow in to the bays
Some terrified this may be their final days
You care, you listen, you hold their hand
when family and friends can't be around.
You're strong, you're kind and so resilient, the De Cham team is just so brilliant.

So many of you and your own families have suffered at the hands of this awful virus and you come back to work to care for so many sick Covid patients. To those of you who are still poorly get well soon. Proud to work with you all.

To bring some Christmas cheer and fun to the hard working staff on De Cham ward, they are running an Advent Challenger for the ward team which will go someway to enhance staff well-being. Prizes will be awarded daily. 🎅 🎄 💕.

We are all so proud of our wonderful SN Precious Nkomo who has had her portrait painted by local artist Alessandro Raho as part of the Everyday Heroes outdoor art exhition in London. Her life-like portrait has been displayed on the iconic Royal Festival Hall fascia. Like so many wards around the country, De Cham are working tirelessly to treat patients with Covid 19. We are so grateful for a local 8 year old boy who donated Easter Eggs to Team De Cham. A wonderful act of kindness.
