🎅Save the date 🤶

I know its only October, but wanted to put this up so people can add to their diaries before December gets jam packed with festive fun and get togethers.

A huge thank you to Brewers decorative centers, in particular the Hastings store. For kindly donating £200 worth of paint and supplies so we can redecorate our parent rooming in rooms and make them more homely for our families whilst they are staying on the unit

Brilliant news for all our families

We're delighted that Tesco and Pampers have partnered to give free nappies to parents of premature babies.

Around 60% of twin pregnancies result in birth before 37 weeks (spontaneous or induced) and around 75% of triplet pregnancies before 35 weeks.

The nappies are available from all Tesco Pharmacies.

🟣 WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! 🟣

👶 To all the families who have embraced new beginnings in the last year - whether you’ve welcomed a little one into your world or supported someone in their journey - we are eager to hear from YOU! Every story, whether it unfolded at home, The Conquest, or the Eastbourne Midwifery Unit (EMU) matters.

📣 Each month, your valuable feedback is the cornerstone of our partnership with ESHT Maternity.
Your experience is our guide. Sharing it through our anonymous survey isn’t just about giving feedback; it’s about actively shaping, improving and celebrating our maternity and neonatal service.

🙏 A Special Note of Thanks: When you highlight a staff member whose care was exceptional, we don’t just listen - we act. Your appreciation where possible is relayed directly to them, celebrating and acknowledging their extraordinary commitment. 💜

Parents and carers, we know how exhausting and lonely crying can feel. 🤗

Remember:
✨ Crying is normal
✨ You are not a bad parent
✨ It’s OK to step away for a few minutes if your baby is safe
✨ Looking after your mental health matters

Keep your baby safe, and keep yourself safe too. 🕊️

✨ Here’s what’s left in our clinic diary for September!

Our Drop-In Clinics have been buzzing this month, but there are still a few spaces available. If you’ve been meaning to book in, now’s the perfect time to grab a slot.

All our clinics are completely free and open to every family in our community. Whether you’re breastfeeding, combination feeding, expressing, or navigating challenges, we’re here with 1-1 tailored support.

️📅 Please note: the final week’s clinic will run on Friday instead of Thursday!

➡️ Book online to secure your spot before they’re gone! (link in our bio)

We can’t wait to welcome you and your little one! 💜

💜 An Update from Eastbourne Breast Mates 💜

We’re sad to share that we’ll be closing Eastbourne Breast Mates and our last session will be on Monday 15th September. This hasn’t been an easy decision, but it allows us to prioritise our limited funding towards what’s most needed right now – home visits from our Lactation Consultants, giving families personalised support in those crucial early days.

We know that Eastbourne families are still well supported, with wonderful options through the NHS groups and , so no one will be left without a place to turn.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of Breast Mates in Eastbourne 💜
