☀️ ☀️ What better way to celebrate these sunny longer days than with a foraged supper?
A bouquet of fresh green leaves became pakora, served with mint raita and lime pickle.
Joyful, healthy and satisfying 🙂 🙂
Picking wild food is a simple pleasure, but there
are some things to think about before you get started. Some plants in some places are protected, some are poisonous and some contain parasites. There is a right way to forage, and a wrong way. Positive identification is key, and if in doubt, leave it out!
If you’d like to learn more about ‘eating weeds’ safely, confidently and responsibly, why not join us for our Practically Wild women’s wild food session on Saturday 25th April 2026 12 - 3pm? We will meet in Westfield near Hastings, go for a short walk together and return to the woodland to prepare and cook what we’ve found on the fire. And at £25, it’s a cost-effective way to grab some ‘me-time’,
with refreshments included 💚
