💙❤️ Heart Month – Could You Save a Life? ❤️💙

February is Heart Month, led by the British Heart Foundation, and we wanted to share something that could genuinely make a life-saving difference.

Have you heard of RevivR?

RevivR is a free, interactive online CPR training course created by the British Heart Foundation. In just 15 minutes, you can learn how to perform CPR and even receive your own CPR certificate.

It couldn’t be simpler — all you need is:

Every year, over 40,000 people experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the UK. Sadly, less than 1 in 10 survive. But giving CPR quickly — and using a defibrillator — can more than double someone’s chance of survival.

This week, we invited our team to share some of the fantastic moments that make up the care they provide every single day, as we celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Day 💙

Our carers go above and beyond for the people they support all year round — kindness, compassion and those extra thoughtful touches are simply part of what they do. But we absolutely love having the chance to shine a light on these special moments and see what everyone has been up to!

From Julie cooking up some delicious pancakes, to Elaine and Serena enjoying a game of Connect 4 with Donny, and Chelsea giving Maria a lovely pamper session and sharing some thoughtful gifts, it’s been wonderful to see so many acts of kindness bringing smiles this week.

It’s often the little things that mean the most — time spent together, shared laughter, and making someone feel valued and cared for 💙

Our team visited both staff and service users throughout the day, sharing smiles, meaningful conversations, and delivering small gifts of appreciation as a thank you for the kindness, dedication and support shown every single day.

Clare recently spent her Care Ambassador hours supporting Gary to take his girlfriend out on a very special Valentine’s date ❤️

They enjoyed a lovely meal together at Prezzo, sharing good food, laughter and quality time — just like any other couple celebrating the occasion.

Moments like this are exactly what our Care Ambassador programme is all about… supporting independence, confidence and meaningful relationships 💙

Running at West End Church from 11am–2pm, this welcoming group offers practical dementia support alongside activities and entertainment in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Tracey spent her Care Ambassador time with Janette, who was so excited for a little pamper session 💙

A bubbly foot spa (with bubbles that had a mind of their own! 😂), followed by a relaxing leg and foot massage using Janette’s favourite coconut moisturiser 🥥 left her feeling happy, calm, and completely relaxed.

Janette said she hadn’t felt so content in a long time — moments like these are what care is all about.
