🐾 Give them an extra cuddle or treat.
🐾 Take a mindful walk together—just enjoy the moment.

What is Kindness and why should we practice at being kind?
Kindness is a universal language – the whole world understands a warm smile. Kindness benefits the recipient but scientific studies now also show that kindness has a biological effect on the person creating the kindness.

What is kindness, and why should we practice being kind?
Life can be stressful, and the build-up of the stress hormones, cortisol and adrenaline in our bodies is damaging our health. The good news is that when we are kind, or in fact, if someone is kind to us, we create a different hormone, a ā€˜kindness hormone’ called oxytocin.
Oxytocin has been proven to produce the opposite effect that cortisol and adrenaline have on the body.
Being kind;
• Reduces blood pressure
• Protects the cardiovascular system
• Boosts the immune system
• Reduces inflammation
• Makes you happy
• Relaxes the nervous system.
Our brain is like a muscle and the neuroplasticity of our brain means that we can grow the parts of our brains with kindness and shrink the parts that are linked to stress.

At The Wee Coaching Company, we believe in confidence before competence—because before a child can master a skill, they need to believe they can.
Today, we celebrate the incredible women and girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)—those who push boundaries, break barriers, and shape the future. But we also recognize that too many young girls still tell themselves:
āŒ ā€œI’m just not a math person.ā€
āŒ ā€œScience is too hard for me.ā€
āŒ ā€œI don’t belong in STEM.ā€
These are not truths. They are stories—stories we can rewrite.
Through our Wise for My Size program and children’s books, we help young minds overcome self-doubt, build resilience, and believe in their own abilities. We want every girl to see STEM as a place where they belong—where their ideas matter, their curiosity is valued, and their potential is limitless.

What a fun Wise for my Size Confidence Club session we had tonight.

It was all about emotions and finding ways to recognise our feelings and calm our big, uncomfortable feelings.

We made ā€˜feelings faces’, acted out our feelings and finished with a meditation.

We run our club every month from The Bridge in Helensburgh.
