A lot of people over 40 start to feel this way, and assume it’s just part of getting older.

So they move less.

My coaching is designed for people over 40 who:

After my last post, I’ve had a few messages asking what I actually help people with.

Most of the people I work with are over 40 and feel:
Stiffer than they used to
Weaker than they’d like
Achy in their back, hips, or shoulders
Unsure what exercise is actually safe for their injuries or medical conditions.
They don’t want extreme workouts.
They don’t want to feel out of place in a gym.
And they definitely don’t want to make things worse.

What they do want is simple:
To move without constant aches
To feel stronger again
To trust their body
To stay active and independent
That’s exactly what my coaching is built around.

It’s been a little quiet on here lately… and I wanted to explain why.
In November last year, my mum sadly passed away.

It was a huge shock for all of us.
Since then, I’ve been spending a lot more time supporting my dad and helping him at home as his mobility and health have changed.

It’s been a big adjustment, and for a while I stepped back from taking on new clients—both online and face to face—so I could focus on family and what mattered most. Now I will be focusing online, to allow more time to support those that need me.

Over the past few months, though, something has become even clearer to me.
As we get older, strength, mobility, and resilience aren’t optional.
They’re what allow us to stay independent, confident, and able to live life on our own terms.

That’s exactly why I do what I do.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more:
Simple strength tips
Mobility advice
Pain-resilient training ideas
And some new online coaching options
All designed for people over 40 who want to:
Move better
Feel stronger
Live with less pain

It’s Been a While — Here’s What’s New!

If you’re new to this page or haven’t seen a post from me in a while, I wanted to check in and give you a quick update…

Over the past few months, I’ve been focused on growing things over at The Lodge Health & Wellness — including building a brand new outdoor training area and launching two, possibly 3 exciting new sessions:
✅ Over 50s Exercise Referral Circuits
✅ Summer Reset Classes to help you feel stronger, healthier, and back on track
✅ Pilates - Possibly coming soon.... watch this space!

At the same time, I’ve been continuing my 1:1 coaching work through Luke Collins – Health & Wellbeing Coach, helping clients improve their movement, habits, mindset, and energy.

It’s taken some time to come to terms with my own health challenges and the uncertainty around what the future might look like. But now feels like the right time to start making positive steps — and get back to doing what I enjoy most: helping people move more and move better.

I’ve spent the last few months coaching myself through it, and I’ve now got a clearer direction and renewed focus moving forward.

I'm still offering online coaching, but my main focus right now is the face-to-face work — it’s where I feel I can make the biggest impact and truly connect with the people I work with.

That said, I’ll continue to use online coaching as a way to add even more value and support for those who also train with me in person — whether that’s through habit tracking, nutrition guidance, or extra accountability between sessions.

Now that things are taking shape, I’ll be posting here more regularly again — sharing practical health tips, client wins, and coaching tools to help you thrive.

Whether you’re managing aches and pains, low energy, or just feel ready to start again. I’ve got your back.

I have a long history in the health and fitness industry, spanning over 10 years. I am CIMSPA registered and fully insured. New for 2018! I am now a qualified and insured sports therapy massage practitioner. We start with a needs analysis so, together we can asses what you feel is needed, then move onto a postural assessment to see if there are any other areas that may need attention. Once all areas have been assessed we can start with the correct treatment plan for you. This will help you feel and move better, in some cases pain free!
