A Networking & Volunteering Opportunity – Something for everyone
Henfield Community Partnership is hosting a special event the evening of 27th February at the Henfield Leisure Centre to showcase some of the wonderful volunteering opportunities we have across the village. 2026 is the United Nations year of the International Volunteer Year (IVY 2026). The UN recognises volunteering as a vital force for sustainable development and is encouraging governments, organisations and communities everywhere to champion volunteering in all its forms, formal or informal, local and global. Volunteering not only strengthens communities, its personally rewarding, offering connection, purpose, boosting wellbeing and the chance to build lasting relationships. Holding this event is our opportunity to contribute and play our part.
Henfield already thrives thanks to the generosity of local people who give their time to support the organisations that bring our community together. But to keep our community flourishing, we need even more people who are ready to get involved. There are countless ways to contribute. Whether you can spare just a few hours or are looking for a regular commitment, there will be a role that suits your time, interests and skills. You might offer professional expertise, personal know-how or skill, from cookery to bookkeeping, caring to driving or combining it with a passion or hobby such as history, sport, crafts or the environment. The possibilities are far broader than you might imagine.
By joining us on 27th February, you’ll be able to explore the wide range of opportunities available and meet the enthusiastic volunteers who are already making a real difference. As you chat with representatives from the organisations taking part, you’ll also learn more about life in Henfield and discover what a fantastic community it is to be involved in.
Pop along anytime between 6.30 and 8.30 and while you’re walking around chatting to the stall holders, you can also enjoy some of the delicious refreshments. This is a relaxed drop-in event, so you needn’t feel you have to be there for the full 2 hours!
We are stronger together when we support one another.

The Henfield Youth Club are having their Jumble Sale on Sat 24th Jan at Henfield Hall. Items can be dropped off from 9am, do pop along and support them.
