With a prevailing culture of ‘time poverty’ there is a corresponding reliance on convenience, ready-made ‘ultra processed foods’, and sometimes we forget to scrutinise the labels with as much care & attention as would be ideal.
The aforemtioned are a few ingredients that you can quickly scan an ingredients list for, and red flag as Brain-and-Brainspan detrimental. (Sadly there are more, but these are starting points.)
I am very conscious to retain perspective & balance, so it is important to note that there are differences in the extent & quality of ‘processed foods’, but as a rule-of-thumb it’s the loooong-named chemicals that you need to be particularly mindful to avoid - these are likely to be significant Dementogens.
I promise that finding & using natural alternatives is not too difficult nor time-consuming, and this is where professional recommendations and support from a Nutririonist or Dietician can help!
