Being Well Matters I teach yoga. I also coach professionals including diagnosed/self-diagnosed ND individuals eg ADHD. Identify next steps & flourish. Live out your values.

I'm a mother, mentor, business woman, leader, business coach, therapist, Rotarian, yoga teacher, part of the Scout Movement as an Explorer Leader, and Treasurer and joint founder of Hereford City Repair Cafe. I've created successful businesses, established Boards - I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with, learn from and lead some incredible people and teams to success. In addition to helping individuals to thrive and transforming businesses, I work in the NHS caring for the carers - supporting them through traumas and shifting them from triggers to glimmers. Leadership (in both the private and the public sector) can feel like a lonely place......do you feel confident and secure enough to be yourself? to perform at your best? I'll work with you, as a trusted partner using a variety of tools and interventions, to understand your aims and your priorities. Together, we'll identify a plan and bring it to life. - Therapeutic coaching and Trauma therapy including T-CBT Emotional Freedom Technique (PGC Trauma Therapy / Psycho-Traumatology) - working for the NHS supporting Doctors, Dentists and Pharmacists
- Business start up experience including Board recruitment, engagement and development

- Successful mergers, acquisitions and cultural alignment
- Organisational / individual mental health risk assessments
- First Aid for Mental Health - supervision and workshops - from awareness sessions to train the trainer (accredited by Nuco Training)

Our emotions are shaped by three systems: threat, drive, and soothing (Professor Paul Gilbert). Balanced interaction among these systems supports wellbeing.

The threat system helps protect us by reacting to danger with stress hormones, but overuse causes chronic stress.

The drive system encourages achievement and productivity......but living here nonstop can lead to burnout.

The soothing system is activated by relaxation and connection. It calms us through endorphins and oxytocin, restoring balance.

Combining drive and soothing moderates the threat response. In a busy world, intentionally engaging your soothing system is vital for health and equilibrium.

Take some well-deserved ME time and treat yourself to a moment of calm and self-care! ☺️

Stress can be truly draining – it not only affects our mood, but also upsets the body’s immune system, increases unwanted inflammation, and can make restful sleep a real challenge. In Gitananda Yoga, we have a unique approach: we gently build tension, then consciously let it go. By pairing gentle movement with mindful breathing, you’re invited to let go of self-judgement and discover the art of being kind to yourself.

Come and safely explore how your body reacts to stress and tension, improving your body awareness and learning practical techniques for self-regulation. Through yoga, you’ll gain the tools to notice, understand, and positively manage your responses to everyday pressures.

Why not join our welcoming class, returning on 6th November, at Scouts Corner? Classes run every Thursday from 6pm to 7pm, and it’s just £6 per session. Simply wear comfortable clothes, bring a mat, some water, and a cosy blanket for relaxation. All levels are welcome—step in, unwind, and discover a healthier, happier you!
