Big surgery talk today at the Evelina
Grafts that have been done so far on Ted's fingers havnt been as successful as we would have hoped. We are now moving toward surgery early next year that will involve a much deeper skin graft. This will be done by creating a pocket in Ted's chest where Ted's hand will be placed giving the new graft on his fingers it's own bloody supply for 3 to 4 weeks.
As you can imagine Ted is extremely anxious about this happening and the longevity of it all including 2 surgeries within a month. But this is something that has been looming for around a year now and is something that needs to happen to help Ted's hand and his pain.
We are so incredibly proud of him and how brave he is 🧡🧡🧡
