🚗 NEW ANPR Parking System – Heysham Health Centre 🏥
BMG patients , some more info about the new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) which will be introduced at our Heysham Health Centre site from the owners of the building NHS Property Services (not Bay Medical Group) These new measures are to help keep parking safe and secure for everyone who uses the building. 🔒🚙
Here’s some more info from last weeks post:
⏱️ Grace period: 30 minutes
🅿️ Parking time limit: 3 hours
📆 Operating schedule: Live 7 days a week
📍 Kiosk locations inside the building will be:
• 3️⃣ free-standing kiosks on the ground floor
• 1️⃣ free-standing kiosk on the first floor
🧾 Patients using the car park can log their registration number at any kiosk, no matter which service they are using in the building.
📢 We’ve been reassured there will be plenty of signage to help everyone find the kiosks easily and avoid queues.
🚑 Emergency service vehicles will be excluded.
🏥 If a patient is admitted to hospital and their car remains parked, we will ensure they are added as a guest to avoid any parking tickets.
🗣️ Any ticket appeals will be managed by the ANPR company and not Bay Medical Group..

BMG patients, if you’re using our online form to contact us about a health concern, please can we ask that you submit one problem at a time 📝❗
You’re more than welcome to submit multiple forms if you have more than one issue 👍
But submitting just one concern per form helps us:
✅ Accurately assess each symptom
✅ Triage your needs properly
✅ Make sure the right clinician sees the right problem 🩺
✅ Make an appropriate appointment with the appropriate clinician
This helps us help you more effectively 💙

BMG patients, we wanted to let our patients know that building works will be starting at York Bridge Surgery from 7th March 2026 🔨
🗓️ The project is expected to last for around 6 weeks.
🚗 Please note — we will lose 2 car park spaces during this time, so parking will be limited.
If you have an appointment at York Bridge, please allow extra time to park so you don’t risk being late ⏰

🎉 Exciting News for our Young People! 🎮🧩

BMG patients, we’re thrilled to announce a new group at Morecambe Library 📚 for young people who are not currently attending school or are home educated 🏡 (secondary school age only).

👥 Charlie and Ian the youth workers, will be running a range of fun games, activities, and confidence-building sessions 💪🎲 — all designed to help you make friends, try new things, and overcome any challenges along the way.

And of course… there’ll be snacks! 🍪🥤

🚗 Important Information – New Parking System Coming Soon! 🅿️

BMG patients, we’ve been informed that NHS Property Services will soon be installing a new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) parking system at Heysham Health Centre only.

📅 From week commencing 2nd March, new signs and cameras will begin to be installed. We will update you when we have a go live date.

This system is being introduced to help keep parking spaces available for patients, pharmacy users and visitors. 💙

Here’s what you need to know:
✅ There will be a 30-minute free grace period for short visits.
🚙 If you stay longer, you must enter your vehicle registration into one of the kiosks inside the building.
🧾 You’ll need to register your vehicle if you are:
• attending any appointment 🩺
• using any onsite service 🏥
• visiting the pharmacy 💊

🖥️ Kiosks will be available on both the ground floor and first floor.

Please keep an eye out for the new signage once installation begins — and thank you for helping keep parking available for everyone! 🙏

BMG patients, we want to say a heartfelt ❤️ thank you to the 1️⃣2️⃣5️⃣7️⃣6️⃣patients in the month of January 2026 , who attended their face to face appointment.
However we do need to tell you that 9️⃣1️⃣4️⃣appointments, were wasted and the patient did not attend .
Sadly 3️⃣3️⃣1️⃣of these appointments were with our most sought after, GP appointments .
All our appointments are very precious to us and to you the patient, so we really do need to know if you cannot attend for whatever reason, so we can give it to another patient.
📢Ways to cancel your appointment if you cannot attend:
📲💻If you receive a appointment reminder through the NHS App or by text you can conveniently reply back to the text, with the word CANCEL. This will automatically cancel your appointment, we can then offer your appointment to someone else so it is not wasted. You do not need to ring the surgery if you use this service. This will also save the main line for patients trying to ring for appointments .
☎We also have a dedicated cancellation option on the main line 01524 235900 option 6, so you do not have to wait in the queue.
Please help us to stop these appointments being wasted.
