Strength training doesn’t have to be loud, sweaty, or full of grunting.

Most of the benefits are surprisingly quiet — feeling steadier on your feet, lifting the shopping without groaning, sleeping a bit better… and generally coping with life a bit easier.

If you’re in your 40s or 50s and fancy getting stronger but don’t know where to start, my women’s sessions are friendly, supportive, and usually involve a few laughs along the way.

The next block will be starting on Tuesday 16th September and there are some new times on the timetable!

If you want to join a welcoming and fun group of ladies who are all lifting weights to stay healthy, build muscle and feel stronger then drop me a message.

You can do either one or two sessions week and each session is one hour long.

No need to worry if you haven’t trained before or have had a long break. You will be well looked after and will be eased in slowly.

Hey! I’m Nat (this is my dog, George, who is the joy of my life) and I’m the owner of The Studio in Heywood

Things like this make me cringe but it’s nice for people to put a face to the name I guess

I’ve been working in the fitness industry for 15 years now but started playing sport from the age of 10 so it’s always been a part of my life. Some of my clients have included profesional footballers, rugby players, professional golfers but I love nothing more than working with the general public.

I’ve trained in a number of sports including volleyball, track work, boxing, cycling and I also competed in powerlifting whilst living in Australia

At the moment I’m training for a half marathon but generally I exercise for health, longevity and enjoyment.

I’ve seen the fitness industry change so much over the years and nothing pleases me more to see more women getting involved in strength training.

Thanks to social media, women are now more aware of the huge benefits of strength training and why it’s imperative we do it.

I’m of the opinion that it’s never too late to start lifting weights so if you’ve been procrastinating for a while, DO IT!

Women’s Weight Training – Small Group Sessions

Looking to build strength, confidence, and long-term health in a friendly, non-intimidating environment? Our women’s weight training sessions are designed just for you!

With only 4 women per group, you’ll get the personal attention and support you need, without the pressure of a crowded or competitive gym.

We meet twice a week for one-hour sessions, focusing on proper technique, progressive strength building, and exercises that support muscle growth, bone density, and overall well-being.

Whether you’re a total beginner or returning to training after a break, you’ll feel empowered, supported, and inspired every step of the way.

This isn’t about extremes or quick fixes – it’s about building strength for life. Come be part of a positive, encouraging space where your goals matter, and your journey is respected. 💥

WOMEN’S STRENGTH TRAINING SCHEDULE

I’ve finally got around to putting together a timetable of the weekly classes.

I can only have 4 women in a group and some of the groups are full (some have a waiting list) but if you’re interested in a certain time then it’s always worth dropping me a message.

Mondays and Tuesdays sessions are all the same (session number one)

Thursdays and Friday sessions are all the same (session number two)

Saturdays session is the third session of the week for those who choose to do three sessions a week or for those who only train on a Saturday morning.

Most of the ladies do two sessions a week but there is an option to do one or three also. Just ask ☺️

The next 9 week block starts today but you can jump on at any time so don’t let that stop you

We are a friendly bunch of women and whilst we do train hard, we have a laugh at the same time

Whether you have trained before or never step foot in a gym, you will benefit from this programe as you’ll build on existing strength and find that your muscle mass improves along with your fitness.

You can do either one or two sessions a week and over the summer you only pay for what you do….so that summer holiday is no excuse not to join us ☺️
