Offering 1:1 sessions, embodiment classes & events in High Peak, Derbyshire. Helping you heal, reconnect & build nervous system resilience. Having experienced periods of depression, stress and anxiety before, I take individuals who are ready for change from burn out and disconnect to positive mental and physical wellbeing. I specialise in women's health, positive mental health and trauma combining neuroscience and psychology with the spiritual practices of yoga, meditation and yoga nidra to help individuals, organisations and groups to flourish, find peace and feel at ease. I offer a unique and holistic approach to wellbeing through working one-to-one with individuals, my online offer of a membership, classes and courses as well as group programmes and in-person events. My belief is that psychology and yoga should be accessible to everybody, and I teach effective ways to deal with difficult situations or states of mind, including stress and anxiety. My focus is to promote positive wellbeing, psychological growth and spiritual practice for everyone. As a psychologist I have a deep understanding of how our minds function, and as a yoga teacher, I also specialise in the body and mind connection.

If you’ve been feeling stiff, tense, achy or disconnected from your body and you can’t work out why, fascia might be part of the story.
Fascia is a body-wide connective tissue system that responds to stress, posture, hydration, and movement.
So when life is a lot, it makes sense that your body starts to brace.
Tight shoulders. Held breath. Clenched jaw. A body that feels “stuck”.
These aren’t random. They’re protective patterns.
The good news? Fascia responds beautifully to gentle, consistent input.
Not intensity. Not forcing. Just awareness, breath, and varied movement.
If you’d like support with this, I weave fascia-informed somatic movement into my regular classes, and you’d be so welcome to join us 💛

Your body holds a wisdom the mind is still learning to trust.

This space…
the quiet before a class begins,
the soft glow of candlelight,
the stillness waiting to become breath and movement…

It’s a reminder of why I do this work.

Through yoga, somatic practice, and trauma-informed support, my intention is always the same to offer somewhere safe enough to soften, steady enough to feel, and spacious enough to reconnect with yourself.

A pause that matters.
A place to begin again.

My next courses start from 24th / 26th Feb in both Whaley Bridge & New Mills.

In Chinese astrology, the new year begins with Chinese New Year, not January 1st.
In 2026, Chinese New Year falls on 17th February, marking the start of the Year of the Fire Horse.

The Horse symbolises movement, instinct, and forward momentum.
Fire represents life force, vitality, and inner truth.

Together, Fire Horse energy speaks to something powerful but often misunderstood. This isn’t energy that needs taming or control. It’s energy that needs trust, space, and the right conditions to move. When we try to suppress our fire, we disconnect from our bodies. When we learn to trust it, movement becomes clearer and more aligned. Not about pushing ahead.

About letting life force move when the body is ready.

03/02/2026

If you’re stuck, exhausted, or feeling emotionally all over the place, it doesn’t mean you’re broken or doing it wrong.
Often it means your nervous system is still in protection mode.
Before change, clarity, or healing can happen, the body needs to feel safe.
Safety isn’t a thought. It’s a felt experience.
When safety is supported, the system can soften.
And from there, things begin to shift.
✨ 1:1 support available if you want to explore this gently, together.

Deep Rest Reset - Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Somatic Unwinding

Sunday February 8th 5.15-6.45pm

Chinley Community Centre

An invitation to slow right down and allow your whole system to exhale.

This 90-minute deeply restorative session is designed to support profound rest and a gentle nervous system reset. Through slow, mindful movement and long-held, comfortable shapes, you’ll be guided to soften effort at every level - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

The practice is supported with props, offering comfort and ease without over-structuring the body. We’ll move gently and intentionally, creating the conditions for releasing held tension and settling the nervous system.

The session concludes with Yoga Nidra - a guided practice that invites you into the liminal state between waking and sleep. In this deeply restful state, brainwaves naturally slow, supporting integration, repair, and healing.

This offering is especially supportive if you’re feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, stuck in stress, disconnected, or simply in need of deep rest.

Location:
Chinley Community Centre - warm, spacious, and comfortable. With underfloor heating!

What’s included:
• Winter-warming herbal teas
• Yoga mats, blankets, bolsters, and eye pillows provided

Investment: £20
Spaces: Limited to 12 participants for an intimate, held experience

February is a transition month.

We’re coming out of winter, energy starts to shift, and the body often wants movement - not thinking, not planning, just moving.

In the Chinese lunar calendar, this season marks a shift from Snake energy (inward, slow, reflective) towards Horse energy - more circulation, expression, and momentum.

Dance and Shake the Dust both offer a chance to:
• move without choreography
• shake the dust from winter
• let the body lead instead of the mind
• release built-up tension and stuck energy

No steps to learn.
No pressure to perform.
Just music, movement, and space to be yourself.
If your body’s been feeling heavy, restless, or flat - this is your invitation to shake the dust and let things move again.
