"Can I tell you something I see all the time in my practice?
People come in wrapped in layers, bundled up, seeking comfort. They talk about loving cosy blankets, warm socks, the weight of a duvet.
And I get it. External comfort matters.
But then they tell me: 'I still don't feel relaxed. Even under all these layers, I can't fully let go.'
Because there's a difference between feeling cosy and feeling safe.
True safety—the kind that lets you breathe fully, rest deeply, and finally release what you've been holding—doesn't come from external warmth.
It comes from a nervous system that knows it's okay to stop protecting you so fiercely.
It comes from releasing the blockages at your Base Gateway (your tailbone) where your body stores its earliest patterns of fear and survival.
