APRIL IS STRESS AWARENESS MONTH

Stress is an important part of our lives, it helps us to prepare for life events and to protect us from harm. However, when stress becomes our default state and creates Anxiety, it has the potential to cause us mental and physical discord.

Jo specialises in working with clients who wish to learn to cope with their anxiety, using hypnotherapy and other self-help techniques to provide her clients with strategies to deal with their stress and anxiety which in turn leads to a more positive, calm outlook on life.

STRESS, ANXIETY and PANIC ATTACKS

Today’s life can be hectic and stressful and with the addition of the constraints and concerns Covid-19 has added, it is very common for people to experience episodes of stress, anxiety or even panic attacks.

As well as the affect this can have on our mental health, prolonged episodes of stress or anxiety can cause imbalances in our physical bodies.

Hypnotherapy can provide solutions and techniques to help you to deal with these overwhelming feelings and bring you back into balance; giving you back the opportunity to live your life in a state of calmness and functioning at your very best.

What are we referring to when we describe Holistic Hypnotherapy?

Meet Jo!

Jo has been supporting clients for 30 years, teaching skills to enable her clients to reduce anxiety and approach life in a calm, relaxed way,
She started working with expectant parents, as an NCT Antenatal Teacher, helping her clients to approach pregnancy, birth and parenting feeling more informed and confident.

A large part of this work was teaching breathing and relaxation techniques and decision making skills, enabling her clients to approach their new life experiences with greater confidence and less anxiety.
Seeing how effective the breathing and relaxation skills were for her clients, she extended these techniques and trained in hypnobirthing. She worked with individuals, couples and groups offering preparation for birth and was also privileged to support some of these parents during the births of their babies.

Seeing how effective hypnotherapy is to enable clients to use self-hypnosis to cope with birthing or supporting a birthing mother, she went on to complete her Clinical Hypnotherapy Diploma in order to offer this technique to all clients, whatever their needs.

As well as hypnotherapy, Jo also works with reflexology, reiki healing and Arvigo Therapy.

Jo enjoys being outside and her location in Pirton provides plenty of routes for walks and cycling. She practices yoga and meditation and loves to spend time with her daughters and grandchildren.
