We’re excited to introduce Ability Grows – a new plant shop with a purpose! We’re not just about selling beautiful indoor, exotic, and house plants – we’re also dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for vulnerable adults from a variety of backgrounds, including service users of The Clocktower.

🪴 What We Offer: From lush foliage to specialist growing kits, terrariums, and horticultural supplies, our shop caters to plant lovers of all levels. Whether you’re looking to green up your space or start your own indoor growing adventure, we’ve got something for you!

🌱 More Than a Shop – A Learning Space: At Ability Grows, vulnerable adults gain hands-on experience in plant care, propagation, and retail operations. These activities help develop confidence, skills, and a sense of purpose while contributing to a sustainable and eco-friendly community project.

💚 Supporting a Greater Cause: As a not-for-profit organisation, every purchase supports our mission. All profits are reinvested into Ability Grows to expand opportunities or go towards supporting The Clocktower, ensuring we can continue providing essential services for vulnerable adults.

Exciting times for Clocktower CIC and our outreach project at Clocktower Bazaar!

We will shortly be starting our new venture, Clocktower Abilities Blossom. This project will provide our service users with the knowledge and skills to grow and maintain healthy ornamental plants. Growing from seeds and cuttings, to repotting and fertislising to maintain healthy vibrant plants. The project will have the added benefit of providing a calming and therapeutic environment that will benefit individuals that gain solace from natures oldest solution to dealing with lifes stresses, being amongst plants.

Service users are invited to express their interest in getting actively involved in the project where they can participate in a range of tasks related to growing plants indoors.

In this video, a couple of our service users are upcycling unwanted, 70s era display cabinet to be used as a controlled growing environment powered by high effciency LED lighting and hydroponic watering and feeding system.
