Well good morning everyone, happy Tuesday. Being positive at the start of you day will always give you that buzzy feeling. Don’t worry about not being able to do something, deep inside of us we have the tools, we just have to take the opportunity presented to us, say yes, and learn the skills as we go. Instead of saying “I CAN’T, rub off the T and make it into I CAN.
You are capable. Have a lovely day, full of bright and positive opportunities. Sarah

Self Esteem
Let’s have a look at how we value ourselves,
Do we have a bounce in our step, are we happy, are we confident and positive in the way we conduct ourselves or we we walking around with a weight on our shoulders.
How we are can have a huge impact on not only ourselves but family, friends, colleagues etc.
Do we understand the difference between the feelings of positivity and negativity when it becomes part of daily lives. Do we recognise when we feel useless, unloved, can we understand those feelings and do something to bring us back to being happy.
Can we recognise the reasons of our low self esteem, what is the cause and what can we do.
All the negative emotions and thoughts can be triggered through many sources, some that we do not understand until it’s too late, so how can we recognise them.
Firstly look after your wellbeing,
Surround yourself with people you trust
Leave negative people
Think one positive thought about yourself each day
Get regular sleep
Keep a journal of your thoughts, if you have a negative thought, put aside it a positive thought.
Counselling can help with low self esteem. Counselling will help you understand the reasons behind your feelings, give you the tools to help you feel better about yourself.
When you look at life in a positive way everything feels better around you.

Expressing emotions

Do you understand your emotions, do you realise that a huge part of who you are your emotions. Emotions can be confusing, sad, complicated, and downright annoying at times. So how do you feel about expressing your emotions.
Emotions come in many forms
Happy
Sad
Anger
Fearful
Stressful
These are but a few.
Have you noticed the impact that your emotions have on you. They start to impact your life.
We all need to take time out and understand consciously that when we ignore our emotions by suppressing them, we can start to feel unwell, physically as well as mentally.

Identify what you’re feeling

Accept your emotions — all of them

Keep a Journal

Use your breaths

Express yourself

Give yourself time and space to work out your emotions

Talk to someone

If you are finding it hard to express yourself try and talk to a counsellor. A counsellor can offer a compassionate, judgment-free support process whilst you are finding yourself, and help to guide you and help you to express and explore your emotions in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

Counselling and our relationship with food.

Did you know that eating a healthy diet is all part of Self Care. Our relationship with food is just as important as any other. Do you have a structured diet, is your diet a priority on your daily to do list. When you feel emotional do you binge eat, or do you skip food altogether? Counselling can help with all these things, part of our eating habits started from a very young age, maybe you were rewarded with a treat, or maybe you ate food to fill something that you were missing, like love, attention. Mindset & counselling can help find triggers as to why eating habits maybe erratic, and help find a healthy compromise to a good food relationship.

Counselling for grief

As a Counsellor, like many others, we have experienced loss, and have worked through our experience and emotions. This is the only way that we can be there for our clients. We have to understand the process in order to be able to advise, and be understanding in our clients grief. We can feel grief for the loss of a pet, a job, a family home, it does not always have to be someone close. No-one knows how the loss will affect them, but what we do know is that we are all individual, and therefore grief will effect us all differently.
We can feel sadness, denial, anger, stuck in a place that doesn’t feel real. Sometimes situations that cause grief are totally unexpected, and how we as a person deal with it may also be unexpected to the individual. Some of us will take our time to process what’s happened, and try to work through our feelings, some of us may begin the cycle of grief straight away, and sometimes the feelings and emotions of the loss can be so overwhelming that we find ourselves in a cycle of pain, depression, confusion. So what do we do, in all of these situations talking about the loss is something we all need to do, finding the right person to talk with is the hard part. You are not on your own, if you would like to join us Your Quiet Place for our Grief & Bereavement sessions please get in touch, we do understand, we will listen, and we will be there to help. It can take time to reach a place where you can feel happy again, and realise that everything you are feeling is the process of Grief and loss. Be at that safe place where, in a non- judgemental environment, you can cry, remember, and feel your emotions and grieve. Sarah CMA, ACCPH Grief & Bereavement Counselling. Morning sessions available.

Counselling and finding happiness within your self

We all need to find our happiness from within. Happiness does not come from how many miles to cycle, how many friends turn up on your night out, if you rely on all this to make you truly happy, it will never happen.

Being truly happy can only happen if you are happy with you. Seek not the approval of others.

Try to seek mindfulness and self reflection. Try not to be in a circle of negativity, this will only rub off on you. Instead seek positivity, people whom think like you, encourage you, and give you reason to feel that you belong.

Find the reason that you may be feeling unhappy, write on a piece of paper the reasons, how you can change that feeling, the pros and cons and what it’s like when you experience these and how you can turn that negative into a positive.

Seeking counselling for wanting to be happy will help you find strategies like spending less time on social media, spend time with loved ones doing activities that have gone by the way, listen to your favourite music, exercise.
We all deserve to be happy, even you❣️
