🥁 A Lovely Trip Down Memory Lane 🥁

John, one of our residents, used to play in a band as a drummer when he was younger. Today, he got the chance to relive those memories thanks to Andrew from our team, who very kindly temporarily lent the home his drum kit.

It was wonderful to see John back behind the drums, doing what he once loved. Moments like these really remind us how special it is to share skills, stories, and a bit of music together.

A special night celebrating the life and poetry of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns full of tradition, music, and great food.

We marked the occasion in Scottish style with a talented bagpiper, delicious haggis, and shortbread. The atmosphere was amazing, and everyone absolutely loved the live bagpipes.

We had the absolute honor of celebrating a special milestone, our beautiful residents marking an incredible 70th wedding anniversary, surrounded by family and friends.

It is such a privilege to be part of their journey and especially to be able to share and celebrate moments like this together. Their love, commitment, and life story are nothing short of inspiring.

There’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh baking bringing people together 💫
At our Baking Club, residents enjoy spending quality time together while getting hands on in the kitchen.

This week was extra special as we celebrated Pie Day, which inspired us to bake a delicious fruit pie together 🥧🍎

It’s about more than cakes, biscuits, or pies it’s about integrity, doing things with care and pride, and creating meaningful moments through connection. Every session helps build a strong sense of togetherness.

Getting out into the community is one of the best parts of what we do at The Chase.

Recently, The Chase team had the pleasure of visiting some fantastic local organisations, including the local Co-op Funeralcare group, hearing about the amazing work they do, and Huntingdon Bowls Club, where Karolina, our Event Manager, and Laura our CRM were delighted to drop off a few small gifts as a thank you and a way of staying connected.

These visits are a great reminder of how important local partnerships and community spaces are, they bring people together, support one another, and make a real difference to everyday life.

It’s always a privilege to step outside, have real conversations, and strengthen the relationships that matter most locally. We’re looking forward to many more visits like this.

Today we’re celebrating something simple, yet so powerful hugs and cuddles.
For our elderly residents, a warm hug can mean comfort, connection, reassurance, and the feeling of being truly seen and loved. 💕

We were especially blessed today to welcome a little friend who spent time with our residents, sharing smiles, laughter, and the kind of joy that only genuine human connection can bring. 🧸✨ Those moments remind us that love has no age.

While today was extra special, we’re proud to say that love, kindness, and gentle hugs are part of everyday life in our care home. Because everyone deserves warmth, companionship, and a sense of belonging every single day. ❤️
