I first started Yoga in 2015, previously I had practiced ballet and gymnastics from a young age, but due to a hamstring injury which affected my right knee, I had to stop exercising all together age 17. Then 8 years after the injury I tuned to yoga, the physical practice helped with improving my old injury, it was a slow process but I regained flexibility and pain free movement in my knee. Over the years my consistent practice meant I saw great improvement in the physical side of yoga. As well as increased mobility and ease in my body, yoga has given me a sense of grounding and peace. The practice unites the body and mind and I have become more present and centred, yoga has taught me how I can live in balance on and off the mat!
