We definitely need better access to Scotland's records but this could be catastrophic to the finances of the NRS (National Records of Scotland). Interesting that Ancestry is requesting this through freedom of information too.

FamilySearch centers are found in many types of buildings, like churches or libraries. They are open to the public and offer access to exclusive records (sometimes digital microfilm) and complimentary access to technology. Staff are trained to help you research and make family discoveries.
