Our home was transformed with vibrant decorations, twinkling lights and the sounds of traditional Indian music, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. The evening was filled with laughter, conversations about Diwali traditions and Indian culture. Residents enjoyed a delicious selection of authentic curries, prepared by Sachi’s Restaurant in Burley in Wharfdale, to mark the occasion. Every dish was delicious! Thank you to Sachi and your team for the fantastic food.

Last week some of our residents visited the Jigsaw Festival which took place in Christchurch, Ilkley. We enjoyed the spectacle of a giant patchwork of completed jigsaw puzzles and bought some for the residents to enjoy back at Grove House.

We had a lovely & educational afternoon on Bonfire Night. Our residents enjoyed a quiz and the bonfire basket memory game. Instead of shopping, everyone was gathering things for Bonfire Night. Each person added one new item to the “Bonfire Basket” in turn. It was a lot of fun!

Our residents enjoyed making traditional Italian tiramisu! The residents had a creative time mixing ingredients, layering biscuits, mascarpone cream and cocoa. Residents also enjoyed a fun coffee crossword and reminiscing on their favourite coffee drinks. ☕🧋

On the 19th of September our fashion show brought together residents, their families, and staff for an unforgettable afternoon. Grove House in collaboration with Fat Face hosted a captivating fashion show that transformed an ordinary day into a glamorous celebration of style and community spirit. The show involved the entire Grove House team, including Chief Executive Phillip Birkinshaw, Health & Safety Manager Andrew Russell, Catering Manager Debbie Crooks, volunteers & residents.
