I recently completed the Autism Affirming Therapist Accreditation training with The Autism Wellbeing Project, and I wanted to share how valuable this experience has been.

The training offered a depth of understanding about autism that felt both refreshing and meaningful. It moved beyond outdated deficit-based perspectives and instead focused on autism from an affirming, respectful, and informed standpoint. The content was thoughtfully put together and grounded in lived experience, which made the learning particularly powerful.

As an autistic therapist and someone who works closely with neurodivergent individuals, I found the approach deeply aligned with the type of practice I believe in—one that centres understanding, respect, and genuine support.

I am grateful to have completed this training and to continue developing my practice in ways that better support autistic individuals and the wider neurodivergent community.

Thank you to The Autism Wellbeing Project for delivering such insightful and well-structured training.

🌱 A new professional milestone 🌱
I’m very pleased to share that from April 2026, I will be offering Counselling Supervision.
Becoming a supervisor is an important step in my professional journey. Supervision has always been a space where therapists can reflect, grow, and feel supported in the meaningful work we do with clients.
My supervision approach will be person-centred, collaborative, and reflective, offering a space where practitioners can explore their work with openness, curiosity, and compassion.
As a therapist and mentor who also works closely with neurodivergent individuals and those living with chronic health conditions, I am particularly passionate about creating supervision spaces that are:
✨ Reflective and supportive
✨ Neurodiversity-affirming
✨ Grounded in ethical and person-centred practice
✨ Focused on both practitioner wellbeing and client care
This milestone represents not only professional growth but also my continued commitment to supporting the counselling community and promoting inclusive, compassionate practice.
If you are a counsellor, trainee, or practitioner interested in person-centred supervision, feel free to reach out. I would be happy to connect and discuss how we might work together.
Thank you to the mentors, supervisors, colleagues, friends, and family who have supported me along this journey. 💙

We’re pleased to announce that Ana has been invited to speak at The Neuro-Inclusion Network meeting hosted by CVS (Community and Voluntary Services). The session will be streamed by Zoom and is open to staff and volunteers of charity groups and statutory organisations of Cheshire East. The aim is to build a safe space where we can share lived experiences and useful strategies for being more neuro-inclusive. Link to book is in comments below. 👇🏻 Hope to see you there.

I’m really pleased to share that I’ve been invited to be a guest speaker for the first Neuro-Inclusion Network hosted by Community & Voluntary Services Cheshire East.
I’ll be delivering a short talk and Q&A on neuro-inclusion in the workplace and voluntary sector, sharing my professional experience and what genuinely helps (and what doesn’t) when supporting neurodivergent people.
The network will bring together staff and volunteers from local non-profit organisations and councils to explore how we can create more inclusive and accessible environments.
Thank you to Helen and the team for the invitation — I’m really looking forward to contributing to such an important conversation.
