Why do we need to consider NUTRITION the same way as other parts of a healthy lifestyle❓

It has a significant impact on our physical 🏋🏻‍♂️ and mental health 🧠. It influences our happiness, performance and even our relationships. We will learn all about its areas step by step. To start with the basics, let's look at nutrition as a whole. We can divide it into 2 main categories:

🔹 MACRONUTRIENTS
- Nutrients that our body needs in large quantities and the most to get energy and are therefore called "macro" nutrients.
- Our diet should contain an average ratio of 50% carbohydrates, 20% protein, and 30% fat. It can be variable as it depends on our diet goals.
- These details can be always found on food packaging as ''nutritional facts''.

🔹 MICRONUTRIENTS
- Our body needs them in very small amounts for the right functioning and are therefore called "micro" nutrients.
- It is a collective name for vitamins, minerals and trace elements that builds our skin, hair, teeth or bones.
- Usually, we cannot find the content of micronutrient details on food packaging like in the case of macronutrients (unfortunately), but there are certain exemptions when you buy supplements for instance.
