🎶✨ When the music starts, the smiles follow at Auchtercrag House Care Home ✨🎶

We had a brilliant afternoon as JM Solo Performer (Janice) filled our home with live music, laughter and plenty of toe-tapping moments 🎤💛

From the first note, the atmosphere lifted. Residents were singing along, smiling, and soaking up every second - proof that live music has a special way of bringing people together.

Moments like these turn an ordinary afternoon into something memorable, and Janice certainly left Auchtercrag buzzing long after the final song 🎶✨

We’re already looking forward to welcoming her back again soon.

🌟 Activities Awareness Week 2026 🌟

Celebrating National Activity Providers & Professionals Week 19–23 January 2026

This week, we proudly celebrate the incredible contribution of our Activity Co‑ordinator colleagues across our homes, Crimond House Care Home, Kincaid House Care Home, Airthrey Care Home, St Olaf Care Home, Redwoods Care Home, Kynnaird House Care Home and Belleaire House Care Home

Activities Awareness Week gives us the perfect opportunity to highlight the vital role activities teams play in supporting wellbeing, connection and quality of life across our homes. It runs alongside National Activity Providers & Professionals Week 2026, a UK‑wide celebration led by National Activity Providers Association that recognises the creativity, compassion and commitment of Activity Professionals.

This year also launches National Activity Providers Association 2026 theme, The Year of Culture, showcasing how meaningful, culturally rich experiences can inspire, include and uplift the people we support.

Our Activity Co‑ordinators bring energy, imagination and person‑centred care into everyday. Through thoughtful planning and a deep understanding of individual interests, they create opportunities for joy, confidence and community, and we’re delighted to recognise the pride they take in their roles.

🎥 Watch our short video, where our Activity Co‑ordinators share what they’re most proud of.

It highlights their passion, purpose and the positive impact they make within our homes.

To all our Activity Co‑ordinator colleagues:
Thank you for everything you do. Your dedication is truly valued.

✨ When Scottish Ballet Came to Meallmore…Magic Happened 🩰

This week, something truly special danced its way into our homes 💛

Residents at Daviot Care Home and St Olaf Care Home were treated to uplifting movement sessions led by the incredible Scottish Ballet outreach team — and the smiles said it all.

From gentle exercise and graceful movement to laughter, music and moments of pure joy, everyone joined in at their own pace. The rooms were filled with energy, creativity and connection — a reminder that movement, in any form, is for everyone 🌟

At St Olaf, the day became even more memorable as we celebrated a very special 95th birthday 🎉🎂 Marked during the session itself, the birthday boy described the day as “fantastic” — a moment that truly captured the spirit of the afternoon.

A huge thank you to Scottish Ballet for bringing such warmth, talent and positivity into our homes, and to our brilliant colleagues who helped create such a welcoming, uplifting atmosphere 💙

Days like this show the power of movement, music and shared experiences — bringing people together, lifting spirits and creating memories that last long after the music stops 🩰✨

A Burns Night to Remember, Across Meallmore 🥃🔥

From Kincaid House Care Home, Kynnaird House Care Home and St Modans Care Home, to Greenan Manor Care Home, Crimond House Care Home, Culduthel Care Home and St Olaf Care Home, our homes came together to celebrate Burns Night in true Scottish style - with laughter, music, poetry, plenty of haggis and even a dram or two.

It was a real celebration of Scotland, our heritage and our communities. Chieftain haggis was addressed with pride, homes were filled with fun and togetherness, and residents and colleagues embraced the spirit of the night in the only way we know how - wholeheartedly.

A particularly special moment was raising a glass of Leven Sunrise whisky, created by our resident John Picken last year. John sadly passed away in July last year, but his legacy lives on, and it meant so much to honour his memory as part of the evening. 🥃💛

We were also delighted to hear James Binnie at Kincaid House read out our Ode to Meallmore Residents, which was warmly received by everyone listening - a moment that truly captured what these celebrations are all about.

Burns Night wasn’t just one event, but a shared moment across our homes - full of pride, joy and connection. And it marks just the beginning of a fantastic year ahead, filled with events, wellbeing, creativity and community.

Have a scroll through the photos and videos below and enjoy a glimpse of a Burns Night we won’t forget.

🧀😄 We took “Say Cheese” very literally at Airthrey 😄🧀

This wasn’t your average afternoon at Airthrey Care Home — it was a cheese-filled photoshoot, and the smiles were as strong as the cheddar.

Residents sampled a selection of tasty cheeses, shared plenty of laughs and struck their best poses for the camera. From cheeky grins to full-on giggles, it turns out cheese really does bring out the best in everyone. 📸✨

A different kind of day, a lot of fun, and memories made together - proof that sometimes the simplest ideas create the biggest smiles. 💛

💛 When a day out turns into a moment you’ll never forget 📻

Our residents at Kelvinside Manor had an unforgettable day visiting Clyde 1 Radio, proudly delivering a donation in support of Cash for Kids - and what a day it turned out to be.

From going behind the scenes in the studio to stepping up to the microphones themselves, there was no shortage of smiles, laughter and excitement. But the real highlight? Hearing Kelvinside Manor mentioned live on George Bowie's Breakfast Show, by the man himself, a moment our residents are still talking about. 🌟🎤

It was a genuine thrill for everyone involved and a reminder of how special it is when residents get to be part of something bigger, celebrated and heard by thousands across Scotland.

A true pleasure to support such an incredible cause - and a proud, joyful moment for our residents as we head into our 1-year anniversary celebrations. 💛✨

These are the days that stay with you.

⚽ More movement. More smiles. More moments like this. ⚽

What a season it’s been Belleaire House Care Home . Every week, our residents showed up ready to move, laugh and give it their all — and the energy from these sessions with Paul and Ben from Fit-Baw has been incredible.

From teamwork and friendly competition to confidence and connection, these sessions are about so much more than football. They’re about staying active, having fun and proving that movement looks different for everyone - and every bit counts. 💪✨

A huge shout-out to Christine, our Player of the Week - a well-deserved win and a reminder that effort, enthusiasm and joy always shine through. 🌟🏅

We’re already counting down to the next season. More movement, more laughter and plenty more moments to celebrate. ⚽🎉💖

🏡❤️ Home is where the heart is ❤️🏡

This January at Meallmore,we’re celebrating all the little things that make a place feel like home — comfort, familiarity, shared moments and the people who make each day brighter.

From cosy conversations to meaningful activities and quiet moments together, it’s about creating a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels safe, valued and truly at ease.

Here’s to a month filled with connection, comfort and that unmistakable feeling of being right at home. Thanks to Greenan Manor Care Home for taking this and making it into something visual we can all support and get behind! 💖

🎨 Picasso who? Van Gogh… never heard of him. 🌸

Creativity was in full bloom at Leven Beach Care Home as residents put their artistic skills to the test, crafting beautiful napkin flowers to brighten up their rooms.

Scissors, colours, teamwork and plenty of laughs — all coming together to create masterpieces that honestly wouldn’t look out of place in the Louvre (move over, Mona Lisa 😉).

It’s amazing what a bit of creativity and good company can do. Small moments, big smiles, and artwork made with heart. 🏡✨

📸 Some pictures don’t need many words… 💛

Wrapped up warm, heading into the sunset, laughter drifting through the air and the breeze on our faces - moments like these say everything about life at Meallmore.

It’s not about the destination.
It’s about freedom, fresh air, connection and creating memories together. 🌅✨

These are the moments that lift spirits, spark joy and remind us how powerful the simple things can be. Big thanks to Airthrey Care Home for sharing this beautiful picture with us all.

A little adventure.
A lot of smiles.
And memories that last. 🌄💫

🎨🍹 When creativity, connection and joy come together 🍹🎨

We kicked off 2026 at Crimond House Care Home with something a little different — our very first Sip & Paint afternoon, and what a way to start the year.

Paintbrushes in hand, mocktails flowing and laughter filling the room, residents spent the afternoon relaxing, chatting and creating colourful masterpieces. There was no pressure, no “right way” — just time to enjoy the moment and express themselves. 💛

The best part? By the end of the session, residents were already asking when the next one would be. Safe to say, Sip & Paint is officially becoming a regular favourite. 🖌️✨

It’s these simple, shared experiences that make the biggest difference — sparking creativity, building connections and turning an ordinary afternoon into something truly special.

Here’s to many more moments like this in 2026. 🎉
