We’ve danced, we’ve sung, we’ve crafted, we’ve welcomed our therapy dog for cuddles, shared moments of reflection at church service, and kept everyone moving with gentle exercise sessions.

Not just keeping busy - keeping connected. What really matters isn’t the list of activities, though.

It’s the smiles.
The laughter.
The small, one-to-one moments that make the days feel full.

🍂 When the world slows down a little, autumn does something magic.

It invites us out for fresh air, soft light, and those moments that feel a bit like a warm hug.

At Airthrey Care Home, our residents and their families have been doing just that - wrapping up, heading outside, and enjoying the kind of autumn walks that make you pause and appreciate the simple things in life.

A Special Visit from Leyanne and Helen at Redwoods Care Home 🌸🏃‍♀️

We were delighted to welcome Leyanne and Helen, who recently took part in the Loch Ness Marathon! The pair set up a Just Giving page to raise money in support of our residents - a truly thoughtful gesture.

It was an emotional moment when we presented the ladies with flowers, as Leyanne had run the marathon in memory of her grandmother, who was once a resident here at Redwoods. Their kindness and connection mean a great deal to us all. 💖

A Year of Love, Captured in Every Page ❤️📆

At Meallmore, we often talk about connection - and last week, our residents Leven Beach Care Home found a truly beautiful way to express it.

Each 2026 calendar has been carefully designed, painted, and pieced together by our residents, filled with memories, moments, and a whole lot of heart. Every page tells a story - of laughter, friendship, and life shared together.

For Ann, it’s more than just a calendar. Hers is travelling all the way to her grandson in Australia - a small piece of home that’ll hang proudly on his wall, reminding him that love travels any distance. 🌍💌

It’s a simple idea, but one that says so much: connection doesn’t fade with miles - it grows with meaning. Well done to everyone who took part - you’ve created something truly special. 💚

This isn't just a wig... 😲

It's a lifetime of stories, dedication, and service! 🏛️✨

We were absolutely captivated during some one-to-one time with our resident, Eric, at Antonine House Care Home. He was telling us all about his incredible career... as a JUDGE!

And then, he brought this out - his official judge’s wig, which he has proudly kept all these years. 🎩

Hearing his stories from his days in court was a true privilege.

From pumpkin-carving competitions to spooky bake-offs, from themed karaoke to haunted hallways, our homes went all in this week - proving (once again) that joy and laughter are just as essential to care as compassion and skill.

💚 Families joined in and made new memories.

Even Head Office got involved (what about those costumes!!)).

Because at Meallmore, we don’t just care for people - we live alongside them.

And moments like these remind us why creating great places to live and work matters so much.

🎉🎂 Celebrating 101 Wonderful Years! 🎂🎉

Last week, we had the absolute honour of celebrating Betty’s 101st birthday at Culduthel Care Home 💐💛

Betty was joined by her younger brother Iain, their lovely family, and our caring colleagues for a truly special afternoon. We marked the occasion with a delightful high tea and, of course, a delicious birthday cake! 🍰☕🎈

It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories - a celebration befitting such an incredible milestone 🥰

Our Meallmore Colleague Awards are almost upon us...and our Crimond House Care Home took the preparations to another level, throwing a "Good Luck" party for Head Chef, Dawn Thom, ahead of awards... 👩🍳🎉

The team threw a fabulous celebration to cheer on our amazing chef, Dawn, who is a finalist in the Meals Mean More category across all of Meallmore! 🏆✨

To mark this well-deserved recognition, our residents helped create a fun mocktail menu 🍹 by picking their favourite ingredients, and we enjoyed a joyful afternoon of music, dancing, singing, and party games 🎶💃🕺

Most importantly, everyone came together to show their support and wish Dawn the very best ahead of the awards party at the end of the month.
