🔧 🚲 Velo City Maintenance Classes 🚲🔧

Beginner friendly bike maintenance classes designed to help you feel more confident fixing things on your bike. Each session will focus on a different area of bike maintenance. All sessions are 0945-1115 at the James Cameron centre in Dalneigh

February 25th - Puncture repair / Taking wheels on and off
March 11th - Chains / How to replace them
March 25th - Adjusting brakes and gears

This week we were blessed with sun and warmer temperatures as we cycled along the sea front through Merkinch nature reserve. A firm favourite route of the group!

It's been a while but yesterday we were back on our bikes. What a novelty! A gang of us rode from the botanics to dochgarroch and back. Despite it being January we were delighted to have someone new come along. So there's no excuses not to join us!

We're so sad to hear about Iain. Such a kind, wonderful soul. We were privileged to have him join us for a few bike rides a couple of summers ago.

There have been many justified tributes to Iain who died on Thursday. He was a regular at the Bike Shed Friday open mic nights, contributing his own music and collaborating with others.
A great musician, a gentle man.
He will be missed by us all.

Another lovely afternoon ride yesterday, along the canal to Dochgarroch, with the sky starting to get dark at the end of the ride and a huge moon doing beautiful atmospheric peeping through the clouds on the way back to the Botanics.

After a break last week due to snow and ice we were back this week to ride a new route through Culloden. We tackled the Ashton farm road and a new section which tested the width of Terry's trike! All fun and games and we all warmed up at the cafe in the UHI at the end. Thanks to Inclusive Cycling Experience - Inverness - Cycling UK for lending a trike for this ride.

We had a lovely cycle out along the Merkinch Nature Reserve today- a bit rainy, but not enough to stop us smiling. It was the first rainy Wednesday Social ride of the 41 rides we've done this year so far!
