Alcohol and Drugs Action will be taking over the delivery of services in Aberdeenshire, previously provided by Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs. This transition aims to ensure continuity of support for individuals and families impacted by substance and alcohol use, while maintaining a strong focus on quality care and community engagement.

ADA is an award-winning charity, delivering specialist services to reduce harms and promote recovery of individuals and families affected by alcohol and drugs in the Northeast of Scotland. We are contracted through Health and Social Care in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, as main provider for such services.

Do you have governance, board or senior management experience in the following areas:
Finance/financial management
Governance and quality assurance
Fundraising and campaigning
Stewardship of charity assets

We offer training and development opportunities to enhance the knowledge and skills of all board members. This is an opportunity for all regardless of professional or personal experience.

Time commitment for board members is an average of 6 hours per month for attendance at board and subgroup meetings. Meetings are in person with remote access as required.

In return we can offer:
1. The opportunity to share your wisdom to make a positive impact on local communities in the area.
2. The privilege of working alongside a dynamic innovative team within ADA.
3. Relevant training and development to enhance your knowledge and skills
4. Networking opportunities, both internally and externally.

*CLOSES TOMORROW* We have a brilliant opportunity for a part-time HR Coordinator/Generalist to join our business support team at ADA. Working closely with management, this is an all-round role and would offer exposure to all aspects of the HR service.

We are seeking someone with previous experience in an HR administrative or similar generalist role, ideally with a relevant qualification (CIPD membership or working towards this would be advantageous). To be successful you will have a good understanding of HR policies and practices, be highly organised and be able to work on your own initiative, as well as build successful relationships and work closely with others.
