WELCOME TO CEDARLIGHT HEALING IN AYRSHIRE SCOTLAND

As a shamanic practitioner, my goal is to empower others to embrace their healing journeys. I began my own healing journey back in 2003. I used to call this ‘my lost year’ because I was sick for 12 months and couldn’t work or look after my family. This was the year I was forced to see things differently and embrace my true spiritual nature. Three years later, I was adopted into a First Nations community through Anishnawbe Health Toronto. The elders explained it to me that, for my First Nations son to never question the ‘white’ side of him, he needed to witness my inclusion in The Community, and to their credit, they worked hard to keep this promise, a gift for which I will always be grateful. My experience with my indigenous teachers, friends and family, over a seven-year period, taught me many things, but the most important teaching was the importance of validating one’s spirituality. This is the teaching that I am driven to share, and the reason I started CedarLight Healing. After my years at Anishnawbe Health, I was inspired to find out about spirituality from my own background. My mother was born in North Ayrshire and my father is of Scottish descent. I spent much time in Scotland growing up and have always been inspired by my people, our native language (Gaelic) and our history, including our traditional spiritual ways. In this phase of my journey, I studied with Tira Brandon Evans who taught me the stories of the Celtic-Gaels, stories that hold the secrets of our ancient traditions, and then with Daniel Leonard who taught me how to actively use my healing gifts to empower others. In 2020, I moved to North Ayrshire, Scotland and today I help clients overcome trauma and other challenges using soul retrieval, extractions, soul remembering, and by teaching the powerful art of shamanic journeying. Services offered:

Energy Balancing Sessions | Soul Retrieval | Power Animal Retrieval | Soul Remembering | Journeying Workshops | Connecting With Your Intuition Course

Autumn is in full swing here in the UK. The clocks have moved back, the Atlantic wind is threatening my roof tiles, and the rain is taking the final petals off those brave late dog roses that grow at the shore.

In shamanism, we tap into the rhythm of the seasons and feel those shifts in our bodies. Even when the wind is blowing a hoolie, it's important to me to get outside and experience it. It's like prayer - talk to God, talk to trees - all while wearing a good warm coat and tall wellies.

The dogs, on the other hand, would rather be in their beds, but after a few minutes of chasing and sniffing in the rain, even they don't seem to mind it.

Sunday afternoons in a vibrant wet forest give us a reason to surrender to the season and rest happily at night, before work life begins again tomorrow.

So many trees down from storm Eowyn last week, and even more of them this week.

I've been heading to my friend's place that's forested for the last two weekends, and many redwoods have toppled. And where I walk the dogs, there are many pine trees down.

What can one do but pray over them and honour them for what they brought to our community? And so I do.

I'm starting to understand why our ancestors revered trees as they did. And as I become more grounded in this land, and deepen those relationships, I begin to glimpse the power and wisdom the trees carry.

I hate to lose a single one, even though I know it's the way of things.

Even in death they teach us, and the lesson they're teaching me is to embrace endings and transitions, and to take time to mourn.

Happy new year!
2025 is already off to a grand start. Putting all those boundary lessons I learnt in 2024 to the best use, and so many meaningful new adventures, plans and projects to look forward to! And always, the light-filled path is infront of me, inspiring, teaching and protecting me. Thank you, Spirits! Here's to a gorgeous 2025 for all of us!

Did you know that, when we work with the nature beings, we co-create that goodness and healing that we take into ourselves and our communities? This is why it's important to get to know the the trees, plants, rivers, etc. that are around us, where we live. Each day, as I walk the dogs, I have favourite trees I speak to and I'm learning to listen to the sea better. Both share considerable wisdom and good advice with me about things as mundane as work situations as well as those big existential questions. This support gives me the confidence to do spiritual work in the world. Purpose is always found in nature.
