Lisa Lillicrap Counselling

Lisa Lillicrap Counselling I am a fully qualified Counsellor registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I am fully insured. What does this mean?

I am also a fully qualified Youth and Community Practitioner and over 18 years work with children, young people and their families aged 12 years +. I am passionate about supporting others where experiences have impacted how they live their lives. I believe everyone has the ability to express, control and understand your thoughts and, where times seem difficult, we will work at a gentle pace to explore what is going on. I am an integrative Counsellor drawing upon different approaches that include CBT, Person Centred Therapy, Gestalt and Mindfulness. My approach enables me to work with you to support your needs. This may include past experiences, managing 'today' or working through stressful times and finding ways to cope. I offer a safe, non- judgemental space and therapy to support you to live the life you want.

The season if not upon us, will be.

Coming soon, a series of workshops designed to support Preparation, Sitting Exams, results and ALL THE INBETWEEN!

Organising, revising, sleep, eating and drinking, pressure points and expectations- the list could go on.

This is before stepping into a room and sitting down in front of that piece of paper.

Breaking things down, understanding and exploring ways to cope and manage alongside self care will be at the heart of these workshops.

Please get in touch with any interest or 'specifics' but equally, stay tuned.

Muddy wellies, a wet dog/ household and a cuppa along the way.

Felt a slight shift today and (dare i say it) some sunshine warm my face... slightly!

A reminder that a change in weather can be like pressing a reset button, a better mood and energy boost!

Its cool to go to therapy too!

Overthinking- Increased anxiety feeling the 'norm'?
What if there was a way to help break the repetitive cycle?
What if it will be ok?
What if saying them out loud and challenging them works out?

Mind boggled! Counselling can be the right space to explore and gain an insight into (what could be) a variety of things that contribute towards overthinking.

Its amazing what we can learn along the way...
Taking time to recharge, take a deep dive, find things that benefit and interest you.

One size doesn't fit all, everyone has a different pace. Pushing through the fear and being at a place in life where you are living the way you want to is worth it.

January can feel like a collision of 'out with the old and in with the new' and getting over a busy December and smashing through into a new year and expecting a transformation.

For many, shedding the year of the snake can be a relief and focusing on the rise of the horse. A fresh start can work, it can help us with hope in moving forward.

For others, it can be overwhelming, exhausting and all too much.
What about pace and feeling ok where we currently are?

This is about taking care of yourself in January, not taking it out on yourself.

Embracing the 'lull' or feeling stuck in it? It can be about finding balance.

I have been taking some festive time off and have discovered what Twixmas stands for. It has also been about finding a balance to look ahead AND continue this festive time. It looks different for many, this is why I am preparing and taking enquiries for January 2026.

Wishing you all a Merry Twixmas, however you are spending it.
