Be you unapologetically, yes it’s going to really p**s some folk off, let it, let them be them whilst you be you, if you have no malicious intentions I honestly don’t see the harm in being yourself and letting others misread the situation, I spent a lifetime being overlooked and unseen, shrinking out of shame, now I don’t do that, there’s people who don’t like it, the same ones who did not notice me when I was falling in line and shrinking myself so when I say “I love it p**ses people off” this is why, it’s a sign I’m on the right path, I’m me I take up space I’m selective with my energy, I’m not a malicious person, and I remember this when I get that urge to shrink 🥰🌻🦋 be unapologetically yourself 🦋🌻🥰

I have been looking into why we doom scroll, why is scrolling so addictive, and the eye movement research I’m currently diving into is really interesting, hypnosis used in PTSD patients uses a side to side movement to mimic the rem stage of sleep, (it’s called EMDR eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) whilst up and down that we do scrolling is not at this moment linked to this specific state,
Think about traditional hypnotic inductions, watching a pendulum swing, listening to a rhythmic voice, or focusing on a single point. Scrolling through social media mimics this effect. The continuous, repetitive motion engages your brain in a way that induces a mild trance, making you more susceptible to influence, this absolutely makes sense and I’m about to dive into the neurological side of it,
I will be switching to the re launched Nokia 3210 very soon, this brick that makes me think I’ve lost a small child when it vanishes is not holding me like this anymore, it will be used for its camera, that’s about it, I’m investing in a laptop for work purposes and that’s where my social media accounts will be, fb and insta, this scrolling research has really woke me up to how I’m influenced every day, and it impacts my mood behaviour and thinking patterns massively, it’s an addiction like every other I’ve over come from drugs, alcohol, food, list goes on, it’s there at the top,
I just wanted to share what I have found so far on this topic it’s endlessly fascinating!

We judge ourselves and our emotions regularly, how they make us behave, we also meet other people’s behaviours and even appearance with judgments, as I always say noticing is key, the more you notice it the more you can meet it with curiosity, 🦋🦋🦋

Starting next week I’m going to try doing a morning breathing session, using a grounding breathing technique, that regulates your nervous system and helps bring your awareness to the present moment, I’ll also do a guided visualisation to engage the minds creative capacity, the breath will increase oxygen flow and help you think more clearly, this grounding breathing counteracts the fight or flight response associated with anxiety and stress, I’ll start doing 1 morning a week one on here one on insta, and try different times to see what happens, they will only last 15/20 mins, I just feel this may help some people as I explore this new skill set 🌻🥰🦋 I’ll keep everyone posted 🥰

Where are you wasting energy, how do you handle it? Do you self abandon and people please leaving you frustrated and drained? Do you throw a healthy boundary down and disconnect? Do you give it energy by gossiping about it instead of acting on it? We are all different and that’s beautiful, this is something I’ve mastered over the years, and I find it very effective so here I am full of a cold sharing it with you beautiful lot 🌻🥰🦋

For a while I had so many traits I was passing on blindly, I’ll forever be grateful I got the opportunity to change the choices I made and brake the cycle others refuse to see, we can evolve grow and change it takes consistency and a lot of self reflection, shadow work, each f**k up is a lesson, not an excuse, I learn each time and apply it to the next, not blame point and use it as an excuse to carry on damaging others, consistent change is the apology for who i had to be to survive, this new version of me that continues to grow, the parent I have become, is the apology I never received, I was never a bad mom, but anyone in survival mode, makes s**t decisions, I’m working with my kids and taking accountability validating their version of events, not gas lighting them and pretending it didn’t happen, this is the difference, this is the pattern i changed no excuses simply accountability and lessons,
