Developed by midwives and pharmacists, Weleda Nursing Oil is a gentle natural formula created for nourishing and soothing breast massages prior to nursing. Pure, natural essential oils such as fennel, caraway and marjoram are traditionally used to support healthy lactation and stimulate milk flow. Weleda Nursing Oil can be used for regular breast massages. This type of massage can have a positive effect on the whole breastfeeding process. The oil can be applied from the 38th week of pregnancy on, several times a day.

Weleda was founded in 1921 by the Austrian philosopher and natural scientist, Rudolf Steiner, who also set up Steiner schools, Dutch doctor Ita Wegman and Oskar Schmiedel, a chemist and pharmacist from Munich in Germany.
