🌟 It's been too long since my last post, and wow, what a year it has been! 🌟

I've had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful feet in care homes, residential homes, supported living and domiciliary across Cornwall and London, while expanding my knowledge to ensure I continue to provide the best care possible. Plus, I’ve enjoyed countless cups of tea and riveting conversations along the way! ☕💖

🫶🏼 A HUGE thank you to everyone who's shared my page, handed out my business cards, and spread the word—your support means so much! 💛

Today, I attended a fantastic training day with Foot Health Training where Susan and Sharron provided a day FULL of wisdom, knowledge, in-depth training, and practical sessions about Neurovascular complications of the lower limbs and foot care for people with Type 1 (T1DM) and Type 2 (T2DM) Diabetes.

We then had the privilege of hearing from Michael Ratcliffe from Cuxson Gerrard, who shared an incredible in-depth lecture on Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and other vascular pathologies.

I have left feeling "empowered," and I’m excited to be adding this invaluable service by providing full Neurovascular and Diabetic Foot Assessments.

If you would like more information on how to book an assesment don’t hesitate to get in contact!

🦶

An interesting read…..

Four reasons to begin a tradition of giving:
1. Giving makes you feel happy. Your brain's pleasure circuits are stimulated by acts of charity and release "good feeling" chemicals such as endorphins, which give you a sense of euphoria, and oxytocin, which promotes tranquility and inner peace.
2. Giving is good for your health. Stress is the catalyst for many known health issues. Giving has been proven to decrease blood pressure and reduce stress. This reduction promotes longer life and better health.
3. Giving promotes social connection. Studies show that when you give to others, your generosity is often continued down the line to someone else, or returned to you. This strengthens our ties to each other.
4. Giving is contagious. When one person gives, it inspires others to do the same.

Are you considering booking me for an appointment but are not sure what to expect? If so, have a little read below….

I will start by listening to any concerns and details of any issues you’ve noticed. If this is your first appointment, I will also document your medical history and ask a few questions about your lifestyle and health in general. Be honest! ☺️

I will then assess both your feet, top/bottom/front, and back to check for any callus, corns, verrucas, ingrown nails, or skin conditions that would need treating. I will discuss my findings with you before I start any hands-on treatment to make sure you are happy with the proposed treatment.

If you are diabetic, I will conduct a diabetic assessment, which involves assessing the tone, color, and texture of your skin, as well as your temperature. I will also perform a neurological and vascular assessment at every appointment to ensure there are no changes between visits. If any drastic changes are detected, we will discuss the appropriate course of action.

Once I have completed the assessments, it's time to get to work! I will start by using a spray to clean and disinfect your feet. Then, I will proceed to cut and file your toenails and address any other areas that were highlighted during the assessment. To wrap up the session, I will treat you to a relaxing foot massage using the best products and creams suited for your skin.

During your appointment, you can sit back, enjoy a cuppa and watch me at work! Or (if that makes you uncomfortable) we can have a good old chat, listen to music, or simply enjoy a song together. Your comfort is important to me.

Your appointment will be 45 minutes long. If I am unable to complete all the treatments discussed during the initial assessment, we will simply book another appointment at your convenience.

After your appointment, I will discuss any aftercare and provide follow-up advice that may be needed between appointments. I am committed to providing personalised care and ensuring that you have all the information and support you need to maintain the health of your feet.

So, if you're ready to book an appointment and experience the benefits of professional foot care, don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve healthy and happy feet!
