As a Functional Nutritionist who rebuilt my health from the inside out… there are a few things I simply don’t do anymore 👇

🚫 Drink alcohol
Because anything that trashes my liver + wrecks my sleep = an instant “no thanks.” I choose clarity, energy and nervous system calm.

🚫 Eat fast food
Once you understand what cheap oils + additives do to your gut + hormones… the cravings disappear. My body deserves better.

🚫 Use conventional laundry detergents
Hormone-disrupting chemicals on the clothes that sit on my skin all day? Absolutely not. My skin is a detox organ — I respect it.

🚫 Regularly use pain relief
Fever + pain are not your enemies — they’re your immune system doing its job. When we numb every signal, healing slows down. I let my body communicate… and support its process.

🚫 Use non-organic sanitary products
Direct contact with pesticides + bleach? Into the most absorbent part of the body? No. My hormones work hard — I support them.

I don’t do these things because I learned the hard way what happens when you ignore your health.
Now I back my body 100% — and teach women to do the same.

In 2020, I finished my last bikini competition and life was never the same again.
I went from 8st ➜ 10st+ and nothing… I mean NOTHING I did would budge the weight.

I tracked the calories.
I trained harder.
I hired the coaches.
I did all the things.

And still — stuck.
Bloated.
Exhausted.
Feeling like my body hated me.

Truth? I almost gave up on myself.
I thought I’d broken my metabolism forever.

But what was actually going on?

We live in a world where the mainstream story has taught us to accept things that quietly wreck our health.

We’ve been told seed oils are “heart healthy” when in reality they drive inflammation, acne, and anxiety.

We’ve been told to fix our skin with creams, when the real answer lies in the gut.
We’ve been sold “healthy” protein bars that are basically blood sugar bombs in disguise.

We’ve been told anxiety is “all in the mind,” when 90% of serotonin is made in the gut.

We’ve been told exhaustion, headaches, and poor sleep are “normal,” when so much comes back to a simple magnesium deficiency.

We’ve been sold alcohol as a “wind down,” when it’s a nervous system depressant that fuels stress, gut damage, and poor sleep.

We’ve been conditioned to see the 9–5 grind as “normal,” even though it pushes us against our natural rhythms and biology.
We’ve been told plant medicine is “woo,” when modern pharma is often just repackaged plant science.

We’ve been told sugar is the enemy, but alcohol is actually worse for your gut.

We’ve been told to fear the sun, while sitting under artificial blue light that damages hormones, skin, and sleep.

These aren’t small things.

They’re beliefs that have shaped how we eat, move, and live — and they’re leaving us sick, stressed, and disconnected.

But here’s the truth: with the right diet, movement, and nervous system regulation, most of these issues are not only preventable — they’re reversible. Your body is always trying to heal, it just needs the right conditions.
