Our Launch event for our STARS and New Leaf exhibition is taking place at the House of Commons today! This exhibition is a great space for children and young people to share their artwork, experiences and messages with Members of Parliament and all those visiting throughout the week.

The artwork is from a previous exhibition themed ‘Know yourself grow yourself’, with the pieces exploring identity, hope, growth and recovery.

STARS (Sexual Trauma: Assessment, Recovery and Support) supports young people affected by sexual abuse and assault and the New Leaf service supports those in care, leaving care, adopted, or under special guardianship.

Young people from our STARS and New Leaf services are sharing their artwork and personal stories at a special exhibition in the House of Commons.

It’s a big moment! They are sharing their voices, experiences, and creativity right at the heart of Parliament.

A big thank you to Helen Maguire MP for supporting this event and helping make it happen.

Is your child/ young person worried about their friend’s mental health?

Encouraging them to talk and to listen to their friend about what is going on for them can help them to feel supported and heard.

If they are worried and feel that their friend needs support, they can talk to you, a teacher, doctor or other trusted adults.

If their friend wants to talk to an adult but feels nervous, you could always encourage your child/ young person to go with them for support.
