As my yoga classes are not taking place at the moment, I would like to mention two friends who are offering two different styles of classes. Both individuals are friendly and welcoming. Their classes are safe and inclusive spaces.
One is a yoga teacher and the other is an instructor but they are both experienced in their own areas.
The first is an Iyengar Yoga teacher with more than 20 years’ experience.
Iyengar yoga is suitable for all ages. The poses are demonstrated by the teacher and supported by props like bricks, blocks, bolsters and belts to support your body.
If you are interested in trying an Iyengar yoga class, there is now a dedicated studio in the University Quarter in Leeds. Details are available in the link below:

The other class is Body Balance. The instructor is young but very experienced. Body Balance is a Les Mills class incorporating Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga poses. The poses are choregraphed to music and include breath work which the instructor demonstrates. The sequence is the same each week as part of the Body Balance release. The releases change regularly, usually every three months allowing you to improve your flexibility and strength. Each class finishes with relaxation.
There is a class at The Edge gym on a Sunday morning at 9.00 am. You DO NOT need to be a member of the gym, you can book on as a pay as you go class, 48 hours before the class.
Details to book on are below:
