Trying to do everything at once is a lot for anyone.

Breaking things down can make hard days feel more manageable. You don’t have to tackle it all today just one step at a time .

Hello, I’m Alex I’m really glad you’re here!

My therapy room is a calm, cosy space where you can slow down, take a breath, and be fully yourself.

I have particular experience supporting people through bereavement, as well as working with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, LGBTQ+ issues, and the many challenges life can bring.

I work in a way that puts you at the centre of the process. Therapy is shaped around who you are, what you’re experiencing, and what you need . Not a one size fits all approach. My style is open, collaborative, and relaxed , and we work at a pace that feels right for you.

Therapy isn’t just something I do it’s something I genuinely believe in. It isn’t always easy, but for many people it can be deeply meaningful and life-changing.

If you’re looking for an authentic, down to earth counsellor, you’re in the right place. I combine my real life experience with professional training to offer support that feels human.

Taking the first step to ask for support takes courage. There’s no pressure here, no perfect words needed just come as you are.

Sessions available:

• In person

• Walk & talk

• Online

📍 Morley, LS27
£55 per session

I also offer a free 15–20 minute informal chat by phone . This gives you the chance to see if I’m the right fit for you , no obligation, just a friendly conversation.

If you’d like to reach out or have any questions, I’d love to hear from you.

Uncertainty is something we all deal with. We like to feel safe, clear, and in control . So when life feels unpredictable, it’s normal to feel anxious, scared, or unsure of yourself.

If you’re feeling unsettled right now, nothing is wrong with you. It doesn’t mean you’re failing , it just means you’re human.

This week, instead of asking “How do I make this go away?” try asking “What do I need right now to get through this?” Small grounding moments, being kinder to yourself, and focusing on what you can control can really help.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. It’s okay to just be where you are.

I’ve been really busy lately, and with the weather not being great, I’ve fallen out of the habit of getting out for my walks. I didn’t think much of it at first, but I’ve definitely noticed my mood dip.

A good reminder that, for me, movement helps my mood and energy.

What a lovely morning to start getting out again, a windy walk with the first tulips starting to grow 🌷.

You're not lazy… you're anxious.

I hear this all the time. People think they're useless because they can't get started, keep avoiding things, or feel stuck. Most of the time, that's anxiety, not laziness.

When your nervous system feels under pressure, instead of motivating you , it shuts you down .

Getting distracted , scrolling, tidying, sleeping... that's self-protection, not a flaw.

So instead of calling yourself lazy, try asking:

"What am I worried about?"

"What feels too much?"

"What would be gentle enough today?"

You don't need to be harder on yourself . You need understanding , and maybe a cuppa ☕️💛
