Making bird feeders and throwing axes....all in a days work here at the Manor.

It's scary how amazing these ladies are with the axes 😂 it always brings a lot of fun and engagement.
After our ladies downstairs had made some bird feeders they then got wrapped up and went and hung them in the garden

I did not capture many photographs today, but some of our residents from the Haven floor enjoyed an outing to the pub for lunch. There was engaging conversation, delicious food, a selection of wine, beer, juice, and coffee, and shared reminiscences of past times. Lorna recounted her visits to Cornwall, specifically Looe, which prompted Anne and Ron to share their own memories, as they had celebrated their honeymoon there.
Upon returning to the Manor's ground floor, everyone expressed a desire to engage in various activities, which was perfectly acceptable and indeed wonderful. At one table, individuals were playing dominoes, while at another, scrabble was being enjoyed. A third table was dedicated to watercolor art with pencils. Some individuals had selected books from the library and were reading in the reception area, while a few of the men were watching tv

What a busy, but amazing day we've had in the Manor.

This morning we went to Starbucks for a coffee, then had a walk around the park with the most attended walk so far 👌

Then this afternoon there was singing, dancing and laughter when Lee came to sing for us, he was so happy to see our famous Facebook superstar Doreen! He couldnt believe how many viewers she had had on her New years eve video .!!Absolutely brilliant afternoon with everyone dancing either stood or seated or tapping to the beat.

Lovely Tuesday had by all. I'm sure everyone will sleep well tonight :)

What an absolutely amazing afternoon with Lee !

He always brings laughter and joy with his amazing personality and has brilliant interaction with everyone in the room ...today he sang a song just for Ron 🥰

We really do have the best bunch of people in Horsforth Manor, we are all as daft as each other 😂

I hope this video makes you smile as much as we all did when Lee started singing it 😊

What a crazy day, I thought Sunday's were a day of rest 😂

This morning we did a little bit of reminiscing, fabric darts, and a 1940s-1960s object picture quiz ...which led into some great conversations. Have you heard of the Winston Churchill egg or a device that allows a couple to share a cigarette?

This afternoon we did some flower arranging which made our dining tables look beautiful 😍

On ground floor we had a coat hanger competition which brought so many laughs and a great deal of competitiveness 😂
Mavis said, Donna, I have reached the age of 98yrs old and never thrown a coat hanger .... I said that i keep telling her I'm going to find all the things she hasn't done and get her to do them. Anna was so confused at the instructions at 1st, but then she was so determined to do she kept asking for another go.
There was a flaw though, next time we need to use string as the coat hangers were spinning round the pole and flying off 😂

We're forever blowing bubbles, pretty bubbles in the air....

This was followed with a quiz all about 'how well do you know Horsforth Manor ' it brought with it a few giggles

On Wednesday we had the amazing Little Movers Leeds West and Cliffe House nursery come and visit 😀
