📢 Marsh Street Surgery is Open Again!

Our surgery has reopened today after being closed for the past 3 weeks for refurbishment work.

🚗 Please note: Car parking will be very limited, so allow extra time for your journey.

🛠️ Ongoing works: Refurbishment is still taking place inside the building, so you may experience some noise during your visit. We appreciate your patience while we complete these improvements.

🕊️ Remembrance Day – Two-Minute Silence 🕊️

The Staff at Oulton Medical Centre will be observing a two-minute silence at 11am on Tuesday, 11th November, to honour and remember all those who have served and sacrificed.

During this time, our phone lines and reception will be paused briefly as our team joins in reflection.

Closure of Swillington Health Practice 31.10.2025

Please note the building at Swillington Health Practice has now been closed. Despite our best efforts, financial pressures have made it impossible for us to sustain the running costs of this site any longer.

Please be assured that all patients remain registered with the practice and will continue to have full access to the same services and facilities at our sites at Oulton and Rothwell. Our team will continue to provide the same high standard of care and support you’ve come to expect.

We kindly ask that you do not post any correspondence through the door at Swillington Health Practice, as we no longer have access to the building.

📢Important Update for Our Patients
Please note that Swillington Health Practice will close permanently on 28th October 2025. This is a little earlier than first communicated to ensure the safe removal of all property and equipment when we hand back the building on the 31st October.

Also, our Marsh Street Surgery will temporarily close from Monday 3rd November for three weeks while we carry out important refurbishment works.
We’re excited to share that Marsh Street Surgery has finally received the much-needed funding to refresh our tired building! Once the refurbishment is complete, we’ll have an additional consultation room available to better serve you.
We had hoped the refurbishment works would be finished before closing the Swillington site, but due to delays with the funding, this wasn’t possible.
Please rest assured that our whole team will be here to support you throughout the coming weeks.
We’ve worked hard to ensure there will be no reduction in appointments, so your care will continue throughout these changes as normal.

📢 Lost Property Notice 🧤🧣

We've had a few lost property items (green ladies watch, reading glasses and a bracelet) left at the surgery over the past few months. If you think you may have left something behind, please pop in to the Oulton Surgery and speak to our reception team.

We’ll be holding onto these items until the end of the month (31st October) — after that, any unclaimed items will be donated or disposed of.
