Polynucleotides are being increasingly used within aesthetics for their known regenerative effects on the skin and for wound healing. Why do we love them so much? Several reasons.
1. When injected into the skin tissue (including under-eye area) they stimulate collagen and elastin as well as mop up free radicals that degrade elastin. Why are these two components so vital for youthful skin? Many people only talk about collagen and although this is an important part elastin is often overlooked. Elastin is responsible for the rebound or bounce back within the skin tissue. Think of a rubber band. Without this the skin appears more saggy and aged. Collagen is responsible for the more plump appearance.
2. They provide increased hydration levels which instantly gives the skin a more illuminated and plumper appearance.
3. They contain anti inflammatory properties which improve skin conditions such as rosacea, underlying red tone, acne scarring and can improve the skin barrier.
4. Allergic reactions are rare due to the purified contents. They are not suitable for vegans due to the presence of trout DNA.
5. Can be used in areas - face, under-eyes,neck, décolletage, hair.
We usually recommend 3 sessions every 2-4 weeks apart with maintenance sessions every 4-6 months. Downtime is typically 2 days.
