There is so much advice out there it can be hard to know what it right for you… this is one of the questions we get asked when we meet newly pregnant clients… always ask your care provider if you have individual medical conditions and always inform your fitness instructor so that your routine can be adapted to your needs. It’s spring! Time to get out there and enjoy the longer days and get active. Maven midwives are here with compassionate and safe care for you and your families. Link in bio

The transition to parenthood…

You never forget what it's like bringing your new baby home.

The feelings, the love, the bond... all wrapped up with tiredness, emotion, and the fear of the unknown.

You’re not alone. Always reach out for support if you need it. It’s an incredible responsibility, but it's so worth it.

We can help you with the preparation and support - both before and after the birth.

Labour and birth can be unpredictable.
Stay calm, supportive and never be afraid to ask questions. Know about your partners birth preferences so that you can be her advocate and supporter in the event of changing circumstances. Look after yourself too.

Supporting your partner through labour can bring so many emotions. Watching someone you care deeply for managing their contractions and then birthing your baby! Amazing! A few things to think about today….

Let’s talk about skin to skin contact. We know how beneficial it is for mothers and their baby’s. It’s also incredibly important for fathers and partners too. It supports the bond with your baby. Helps your stress levels, boots oxytocin and lowers testosterone. And skin to skin contact isn’t just about that first day. It’s the perfect way for you soothe your newborn and get to know them in the few weeks of life and beyond.
